Dear Simply-You,
You mind as well walked on water.
With the impossibilities you proved possible, and the holes in my heart that were as whole as you were holy,
You mind as well of been an Angel.
With laughter you laughed with, with eyes that you saw, and words like poetry,
You mind as well of been an acquaintance.
With comforts for comforting that were as comfortable as your words, and joy that was as joyous as you brought joy to me,
You mind as well of been a friend.
With happiness only you could shine, and beauty I began to see, I wore sunglasses in your presence, for your shine was outshining of those around you, your rays of happy wrapping around my heart and filling in all those holes until I really was whole.
You mind as well of been my best friend.
With concern that was as concerning as your concern for me, for us, with advice that I would advise for others to give the same advice, and genuine gratefulness for the grated pieces of us we've exchanged over years,
You mind as well of been my sister.
But with each text of friends beginning friendship and secrets no longer being secrets as I can never be secretive around you,
We were.
We are as acquaintances were friends, as friends were best friends, and as best friends were sisters.
And I could never be more thankful for the Angel in my life, who could walk my thrashing seas, even as I drowned.
And as lonely as lone could be, as I could be, like a stray bee from a hive,
You never left.
-D.
