And it comes to the point where you're looking up 'How to Smile' on YouTube..
Who the fuck does that?
Because you're smiling. You feel happy, and you're smiling, and you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror, and pause. You hold your smile of happiness, and stare because something doesn't look right. Looks wrong, not the same.
You feel happy. Your mouth is happy.
But it's your eyes.
Your eyes aren't smiling, even though your heart and mouth is.
Your eyes aren't happy.. The windows to the soul.
And suddenly you know what's wrong, what's missing.
And you sort of wish you never smiled. Had an obliviousness to the sad change.
So instead you fake it.
Fake ignorance...
God, if that isn't something I've been living up to lately.
