- Jennifer's P.O.V - 

'It's nice to meet you, Nick,' I said. 'See you around.'

And with that, Jena and I turned away and walked back to our dorm. 

'Well, he really seemed to like you,' Jena nudged my arm.

'Yeah,' I laughed awkwardly. 'Which is awkward because I have a boyfriend.'

'Hmmm,' Jena agreed. 'I guess you just need to tell him next time you see him.'

'I will,' I said, opening the door to our room. 'Speaking of boyfriends, I'm gonna give Josh a call.'

I dialed Josh's number on my phone and he picked up on the first ring.

'Jenn!' he exclaimed. 'How are you?'

'Good,' I said. There was a lot of ambient noise in the background on Josh's end of the line. 'Sounds like you're having a good time.'

'Yeah, I'm sharing a dorm with Liam and he kinda invited people over for a pre-party before another party we're holding later. It's pretty hectic.'

'Right,' I chuckled. 'Typical Liam, can't go to a party without having a pre-party.'

Josh laughed. 'You know it!'

'Have you met many new people?' I asked.

'Well, there are a few guys I met at the recruitment camps,' he said. 'But I have met quite a few new people. What about you?'

'That's good,' I said. 'And I've met a couple of people, but not many. Jena and I are going to a party tonight too, at a frat house.'

Josh went silent. 'Wait, what?' he asked.

'Yeah, a frat party,' I said slowly. 'What's wrong with that?'

'Just be careful, Jenn,' he warned after a brief pause. 'Those kind of parties can get pretty wild. Watch out for the guys there, ok?'

'Ok, Josh,' I said. 'Don't worry about me, I'll be fine.'

'Yep,' he said. 'But please call me if anything goes wrong. Or just call me whenever you want.' He paused. 'I miss you,' he said.

'Aww, Joshy's in love,' I heard a voice from the background of Josh's line, along with other boys teasing him.

'Shut up, Avan,' he yelled.

I laughed. 'I miss you too, Josh,' I said. 'And I love you.'

'I love you too,' Josh replied. I assumed he'd moved into another room because I couldn't hear any ambient noise or boys teasing him.

'Well, Jena and I are going to get ready for the party now,' I said. 'But I'll call you tomorrow.'

'Or if something goes wrong,' Josh insisted.

'Yes, Josh,' I smiled to myself. 'But I'll talk to you later, ok?'

'Sure,' Josh said. 'Bye, beautiful.'

'Goodbye,' I said and hung up.

Jena gave me a smug look after I hung up. 'What?' I laughed.

'You and Josh,' she laughed. 'You're so cute!'

'If you say so,' I smiled. 

'Let's get ready,' she said, changing the topic.

After what seemed like hours of indecision, Jena went with an electric blue dress that hung loosely around her body and extended to her mid-thigh. It was accompanied by a silver belt which was done up around her waist, a pair of silver heels and a pair of sparkly silver earrings. Her blonde hair hung straight and rested on her shoulders and her face was painted with makeup that subtly emphasised her huge eyes and her cheekbones.
