A distressed Barry settled himself at the entrance of the pipeline. So much has happened in this section of STAR Labs but somehow he found the area comforting.

With everything that's occurring regarding Savitar and his locked up feelings for Caitlin, Barry had been losing sleep. Also, Julian's recent arrival to the team had Barry on alarm. He needed to confess to Caitlin as soon as possible.

As if in sync with his thoughts, Caitlin waltzed into the room. He was pleased to see her.

"Hey, Caitlin."

"Barry, are you okay? Everyone upstairs is worried." Caitlin said with concern laced in her voice. She sat down next to him.

"I'm fine, don't worry. There are just some things I need to figure out. That's all." He sighed.

"Talk to me, that's why I'm here." Caitlin put a hand over his.

He looked at her, wearily.

It's now or never. Before it's too late.

"Cait, there's something important I have to tell you, before I'm too late." He hesitated but continued "I'm sorry if this is not a great time but..."

"Barry, spit it out. You know I'm not one to judge." She assured.

After a moment of silence, the unchained the secret that's been fighting him for months.

"I have feelings for you. I've had them for quite a while." His voice cracked. "I know this is all so sudden and..."

Caitlin's expression softened. She had eagerness in her eyes; longing maybe? Her grip on his hand tightened.

"Barry Allen, The Flash, has a crush on me." A reassuring grin spread across her face.

He found himself smiling as well.
"This was the worst reveal ever. Sorry there's no skyline in the distance or beautiful view."

Caitlin laughed.
"You're impossible."

"Wait, so you're okay with it? You're not surprised?" He asked uncertainly.

"Of course I'm okay with it Barry, this opens so many doors for both of us."

He looked into her eyes.
"So, you're into me?"

Flustered, Caitlin stood up.
"I never said that"

She was blushing like crazy but Barry decided not to mention it. He just smiled and said,

"You're breathtaking, Cait. Everyday I come to STAR Labs asking myself if it'll be the day I tell you how I feel. You're that one person I never, ever want to lose."

"Well, Barry, I assure you that I'll always be here for you. I knew there was something about you since the moment we met."

She smiled at the thought.

The two walked back to the cortex.

In Barry's head, the confession went smoothly. Caitlin took the news incredibly well. What could go wrong now?

That thought came much too soon. The moment he stepped into the cortex, all of the happiness immediately got sucked out of the air.

Julian stood in the middle of the room.
"What the hell was that, Allen?"
