Entering the school, I went directly to the assigned classroom. The inside of the school is impressive, wallpapered walls with pictures of students and principals hanged everywhere. Students in uniforms and casual clothes walks through me. The door's brass door knob greeted me as I turn its handle.
A sudden flash numb my hand. I quickly remove my hand from the doorknob. The sensation is like an electric shock, it must be I am just nervous or someone put a naked wire on the other side to prank new students.
To make sure, I willed Archer to talk to me through my thoughts. But the occasionally insults are nowhere to be heard. Strange, he should be talking to me right now. I imagined him talking how tasteless this place or laugh at the fact that a shard of gem is only my line of defense versus the other Servants and Masters.
Anyway, I try the doorknob and it works perfectly. Opening the door, I feel a sudden gush of air which made me alarmed. Holding the shard, I look at the empty seats in front of me. The mahogany brown table is facing to the rows of wooden chairs and desks. Huh... I must be the first one.
You should've run away
You should've not come
You should've run
I turn my head in turn where the voice is coming from. I swear that I am the first one in here. The shard in my hand is starting to get heavy.
A middle-aged man is sitting across me. Wearing a teacher's blazer and pants, he looks like a typical Science professor but unlike a human, his skin is beyond dark which I did not know that a person can have a charcoal colored skin. But something tells me he is not a human like me.
His sea green eyes drifts from mine to my clenched fist. His shoulder length hair is neatly tied that makes him look like a mad scientist.
"I see, regardless of my warnings you came" His voice is very thick and each word he pronounce like he is reading from a book. "I am sorry, young master that this is not a fair fight but matter of consequences forced me"
Something appeared in his hand. It materialized in front of my eyes. The spear like weapon is made from clay and numerous symbols are carved on the handle. He stood to his feet and pointed the blade at me.
"I sealed the whole room so no Servant or magi can enter" He winked. "Also do not even try to activate that gem"
I open my hand and look at the tear shaped ruby. So this is really one of Tohsaka's battle magic. In front of me is another Servant like Archer and Saber. I cannot tell what class he is but he is here to kill me. If he is right about the gem, this is a puny defense against to him.
"Can you hear that?" He cupped his hand. "I hear humans of your kind trying to break the seal"
I look at the door. I cannot see any visible markings or locks. Maybe this person can hear the noises outside alone.
"But magi, there is no other way to win, after all my Master rewards me greatly for your head and also bringing your Servant alive" A smirk formed on his lips.
Archer... Archer! Please can you hear me? I said in my mind as I clenched the gem tightly. Where is he when I need him?!
Then I look at my command spells on my left hand. Maybe I can use one to call Archer. But I must use it only if I am in danger. If my gut is right, this fragment of ruby is like the ones Tohsaka throw to make explosions.
"Don't even think about it, young master" The man warned. "As general rule of Servants, if outsiders saw us, we kill them without hesitation"
A black guy in a teacher's uniform and with tied hair is not intimidating but his spear pointed to my chest is. He is right, if I used the ruby to destroy the door, students will see this Servant and kill them. I do not want it to happen. I must use my command spell to summon Archer. This is the right time to use one.
