'Imperfect Home'
By 18rajnandini

Cowering in a corner, in eternal doom
Screams echo through the thin walls across the room
What is home? God, tell me it's not here
Home isn't a place I should have to live in fear

The metallic taste runs deep, slicing through my core
Red vision, mother's a lump among the others she bore
Dad's are loving, so the girls said at school
Wishing for the impossible, I'm such a fool

From the outside, ours is a "perfect" home, or so I'm told
Hidden are the demons, Satan was an angel too, I'm also told
A dial away is freedom from this catacomb
But should I break apart, our "imperfect" home?
