"Well, what have you been up too?" Jack asked.

"Nothing really." I respond.

"I see you are a metal head."

"Oh yeah sorry. I'm not cool like you're other girl-friends."

"No, I listen to it too."

"You do?"

"Yeah, I listen to all kinds of music."

"Oh..."

"Well how do you like being my neighbor?"

"No, you are my neighbor."

"I know."

"Jack did you have any other girl bestfriend?"

"I can't lie to you, I did."

"What?"

"But they weren't like you."

"What do you mean?"

"They wouldn't hold hands with me like this." He grabbed my hand and entwined it with his and then looks at me.

"They wouldn't let me play with my action figures while playing Barbies." He was still looking at me. "Wouldn't eat at the same time or change foods. Especially go to the bathroom with them."

"That was very weird." I break that big tension between us.

"What?"

"The going to the bathroom thing."

"Oh I thought the thing that was going right now."

"No."

"Oh. As I grew up, they were all selfish, girly, and annoying."

"So I'm not like that?"

"Well I don't know. I haven't seen you in a long while."

"Hope I'm not like that."

"You still have the ring?" Jack asked.

"No." I said.

"How dare you!"

"I'm kidding, I do." I show him the silver ring with the royal blue rock in the middle.

"I do too!" He also takes it out.

"Well it's your birthday lets go celebrate it-together."

"Well are we still bestfriends?"

"Yeah! A bestfriend will always be a bestfriend."

"Alright well let me leave my mom a letter."

I write my mom a letter saying:

I'll be back. Going out with Jack. Have fun!

I grab my wallet and leave.
