After a long walk we finally arrived the flower field. We stop and stare at it for about a minute. Without any words Jack put out his hand and I grabbed it. We both went racing down the field; laughing. We reached down hill and Jack went faster.

"Slow down!" I yell at him. "We are going to fall!"

That made him run faster. I tripped on my own feet which made Jack and I go rolling down hill. We finally stopped and he fell on top of me. I stared in his eyes and he stared into mine. I had to break this tension.

"Oh look they built a play ground." I broke the tension.

"Oh yeah! That wasn't there before." He got off me.

"I'm the first to go down the slide."

"Not if I beat you."

Off we went to slide down the slide. We played like little kids in this play ground. We were swinging together, playing tag, and climbing the rock wall. We go down the slide backwards and our eyes meet once again. God we have to stop doing that. I check my phone and it read 8:37 pm.

"Jack it's getting late." I tell him.

"Oh yeah! Lets go running to the arcade."

"Yeah! I mean they don't close till 10, but okay."

We go running to the arcade but it was pretty far. About half way me and Jack ran out of breath.

"Oh God! That was a good run." Jack said through breaths.

"Yeah, I have not ran that far before." I gasp for air.

"Are you okay?"

"No!"

"Oh my! I forgot you have asthma!"

"Here, sit down."

I was trying to catch air really bad.

"Calm down." Jack said softly.

I cup my hands to my nose.

"Are you feeling even better?" Jack asked.

"Yeah. From now on, lets walk." I said.

"Alright well the arcade is just up here."

We stand up and start to walk. I missed Jack. I didn't really get to see him. Just once in a while him and his mom will came to visit but we were just little. She stopped coming after we turned 9 and since then we just talked in the phone once in a while.

"Hey Lily?" Jack asked.

"Yeah?" I responded.

"Do you want to... Um do you want to? Ah can't say it right."

"What are you trying to say?"

"That if you want to... if you want to... never mind."

"Jack!"

"What?"

"Say it"

"Nah, when I have the balls I will."

"Jack!"

"Okay fine. Lily do you want to be my... best friend all over again."

"Jack! We are already best friends."

"Yeah I know."

"I thought you were going to say the other thing."

"What? You and me? I don't think so. We are too close."

"Yeah I know."

"Alright here we are. Ready to get beat in air hockey?"

"Beat? Please?"

"Okay, lets see if you are good on any of these." He said. "Can I get 60 tokens?"

"Yeah. That will be 28 dollars." The guy said.

"Alright thank you."

"Jack how do you get all this money?" I ask curious.

"I work? Duh!"

"Oh really? You sure save a lot of money."

"I saved it so we can have fun for your birthday."

"I'm so happy that you don't have to be 16 in order to work or drive or pretty much do anything."

"I know! Back then it was really wack!"

We start playing 19 rounds of air-hockey, 20 rounds of Ski-ball, dance revolution, racing games, basketball, Dinosaur Attack 3, and ticket games. We finally get all of our tickets and go to the prize table.

"We have 197 tickets." Jack said to the man.

"Okay what will you want?" He asked politely.

"Can I have the cotton-candy, the goody bag, 5 nerds, and 1 dip-stick." I said rapidly.

"Okay here you go. Thank you for coming."

"Geesh, they were my tickets too." Jack said sarcasticly.

"It's my birthday."

"Hey I'm tired, lets take a cab?"

"Yeah! I am tired too."

We wave for a taxi but none of them stopped.

"Get in kids!" A friendly guy said.

"Thanks!" Jack and I say.

"Where too?" The African man said.

"Harper street and Ariel." I say.

"Alright."

The taxi driver was making us laugh in the whole way. He was really friendly. I knew Jack was going to tip him big.

"How much will it be?" Jack asks as we arrive.

"13 dollars." The man said.

"Here you go! Keep the change!" Jack gave him 20 dollars.

Jack went to walk me to door step.

"Thanks Jack." I said.

"No problem. Hope you had fun."

"No I didn't. I lived life!"

"I'm glad you did." His smile was the most perfect thing ever.

"Good night!" I hug him

"Goodnight." he hugs me back.

I literally didn't want to look at his face or else something would have happen.

"Bye!" I slam the door behind me.

"Well did you have a good time with Jack?" My mom asks as I walk up the stairs.

"Yeah! It was epic!" I said excited.

"Really! He didn't ask you anything?"

"Like what?"

"Oh never mind."

"What would he ask me?"

"Nothing at all. I thought he will ask you about your new house and how being neighbors was."

"Sure. Good night mom."

"Good night sweet heart."

I go upstairs and change to my pajamas. I go to the bathroom so I can wash my face. As soon as I walk out, a gift was on my bed. I look at the tag and it said From: Jack

Hope you like it. I picked it up at the field.

I open it and a red rose was in the container. I see that he came in the open window. I go to it and shout to the other side. "THANKS! I LOVE IT!"

I close the window and go to sleep.
