Chapter 8: Countdown to Destruction Part 3- Full Moon Attack! Enter Kawaikumo

Shippo's POV
It has been three weeks since the shadow creatures kit-napped me and Inuyasha, Inu no Senshi, Kagome, Miroku and Sango were attacked by explosive shurikens. We've been training hard to defeat the evil that is lurking close by.

Unknown's POV
The designated time has past the full moon is tonight and tomorrow. I must take haste in this great opportunity. Mwwwwaaaaaaahhh!

Miroku's POV
"I was finding a way to strengthen the spiritual power of my sutras with Master Mushin. How's training with Inuyasha, Inu no Senshi?" I said as Inu no Senshi and I walked towards the forest. "It's going well. I learned a lot working with him." he said. "What exactly has he taught you?" I asked as my perverted mind ran wild. "I learned to hunt...the right way, how to defeat an enemy that is over two times my size, perfected my Shadow Cleaver and Shadow Whip, and how to protect those close to you." he replied. "You've learn quite a bit." I said. "I feel like I'm a part of a family when I'm with you all. I never exactly had a family until I met all of you, I promise you that I will not let anything bad happen to you all." he said. "Good you'll need that kind of enthusiasm in life especially when facing a difficult opponent in battle. Remember that it means more to fight for someone you care for than to fight just for the sake of fighting." I told him. "Thanks Miroku, I will. I have one question for you though." he said stopping. I stopped and turned towards him. "Could I spar with you? I would like to get experience fighting someone with spiritual power and between you and Kagome, you have a bit more skill. I didn't want to ask Kaede because she'd get hurt at her age." Inu no Senshi rambled. "Inu no Senshi..." I said getting him to stop rambling, "I will spar with you."

Kagome's POV
"Sango, I don't think I can use this." I said to Sango as I tried to lift her Hiraikotsu. "Come on Kagome, I lift it without any trouble." she said after grabbing it from me. "That's because you've been trained to. I, on the other hand, haven't." I said sighing, "It's been three weeks and I still haven't found an alternative weapon yet. I'm starting to think that I don't need a different weapon." "Kagome you will find one. Don't give up." Sango said. "Maybe we're going at it the wrong way." "What do you mean Sango?" I asked. "Maybe you don't need another physical weapon; maybe you need a spiritual one." she said as we walked through the forest towards the village. "You mean like one I can call on with my miko powers?" I said as we approached Kaede's hut. "Yes we should ask Kaede if she's heard of any and you can try each one." Sango said as we walked into this hut. "Kaede obaa-chan, are you here?" We called in. "Aye in the next room." she replied,"What ales ye Sango and Kagome?" "We were wondering if you heard of priestesses using their spiritual energy to create weapons?" I asked. "I have heard of the concept, yet never seen it with my old eyes. I heard that the priestesses in the western lands use that method."Kaede said. "Looks like we may have to pay a visit to Sesshomaru's territory. Only question is, whether Inuyasha will let us go without a fight or not." I said as Sango anand I exited the elderly priestess' hut. "Well we won't know until we ask." Sango said as we looked for Inuyasha.
