*Kayla's POV*

"Okay, just, stay here and Lou, our stylist, will be here in a bit to stay with you, okay?" Liam explained to me. I nodded my head as he ran out of the room to go get ready to enter the stage with the rest of the boys.

The screaming fans were incredibly loud, making my head hurt already, and I have only been here for a couple of hours as the boys got ready. A couple more to go. I had mostly just watched in fascination as the stylists had done the boys makeup and hair, writing some stuff to ask questions every once in a while.

Now I'm simply sitting on a red leather sofa in a room backstage, a flat screen TV in front of me to let me watch the boy's performance. The stage crew were running around outside the room I was in, finishing everything up. I could tell that these shows were always chaotic.

A knocking interrupted my thoughts as I looked around the large room, taking everything in. The door opened a crack to let a blonde head poke in, smiling at me. The lady opened the door all the way and waltzed in the room, a baby on her hip.

"You must be Kayla!" she exclaimed. (The lady, not the baby. That'd be sad, a baby talking more than me. Then again, everyone talks more than me.) I nodded my head in answer to her. She stuck her hand out. "I'm Lou, the boy's stylist. It's so good to meet you, they keep talking about you. I'm glad you finally came to see one of the shows!" she said excitedly.

I let out a small smile in response, making her nod her head for a moment.

"Right, forgot. You don't speak. Oh well, that doesn't matter!" she said happily, clapping her hands together. "This is Lux. Say 'hi!' Lux!" she said, grabbing the little girl's hand and waving it a bit. I let out a large smile, loving the little girl already.

'She's adorable!' I wrote on the pad of paper I carried with me now. Lou beamed.

"Thank you! You should see when the boys play with her, it's so cute! They were so excited when I first got hired and they met Luxy. She's taken quite a liking to all the boys. They're all practically her uncles."

'I'm sure they spoil her, huh?'

"Oh, you have no idea! They always play with her and get her toys. She's gotten a doll of each of them, those conceded boys," she rolled her eyes, "and a huge mountain of teddy bears from the places they've visited. It's insane. Her favorite is probably one Niall got her that has four leaf cloves all over it. She loves it."

       'Sounds really cute.'

"It is. I just know she's gonna grow up and have four protective uncles not letting any boys near here or anything of the sort. Speaking of the boys, how is it living with them? And on a tour bus? That sounds crazy!"

'It's a bit crazy. It's taking some time to get used to, I guess.'

       "Sounds like it."

For the next hour or so, we just sat there talking, every once in a while looking at the TV to see what the boys were doing on stage, or stopping to do something with Lux. I learned a lot about Lou and Lux, and what it was like being a stylist. It sounded really fun.

Eventually, the boys had a wardrobe change, and ran backstage into the room where I was explaining to Lou what happened with my father. It's not as hard to talk about now.

"Hey Lou, Lux, Kayla," Harry said as he came in, bending down to kiss the top of my head. The other boys all filed in doing the same as Lou got their outfits ready. Louis came in, kissing my cheek instead of my head.

"How're you liking the show so far?" he asked as he sat down beside me.

       'It's great!'

Louis raised an eyebrow. "You haven't been paying much attention, have you?" he asked. I smiled sheepishly.

       'Sorry...I was talking to Lou.'

He nodded. "Makes sense, she does talk a lot. Have you watched at all?" I nodded. "Well that's good! How'd you like what you saw?" he asked.

To tease him, I put both my thumbs down, making him gasp. He pouted as I stuck my tongue out at him. He rolled his eyes, laughing. I laughed as well, sticking my thumbs up.

"Louis! Come change!" Lou hollered at him. He groaned and stood up, grabbing the jeans and shirt before quickly changing behind a curtain. He came back out as they were all getting ready to go back on.

"Kiss for good luck?" he teased me as he leaned over the couch, pointing to his cheek. I rolled my eyes and pecked his cheek, making his eyes go wide and his face flush scarlet. I laughed and turned him by the shoulders, pushing him out of the room.

Lou looked at me with wide eyes. "What was that?!"

'I don't even know at this point.'
