°Natasha's POV°

My teeth gripped onto the tender flesh surrounding Bear's neck, ripping into it. Power coursed through my veins as I felt the process working its magic; his inner wolf was awakening.

'Don't grip onto him so tight... You're going to hurt him,' my wolf complained, voicing her opinion about the whole ordeal. My grip loosened after her comment before a growl rippled through the room.

"Bear, you've finally awakened!" Now that I had turned him, on the next full moon he would fully embrace his true self. He would become a true leader and my soul mate in just a matter of days.

"Yes, I have Natasha..." he paused as a whimper could be heard. His body spun in a blur of colors as he swung at the owner of the sound. "Why is she still here?" His voice was a growl, signaling his wolf now had control over him. (A/N: Bear's wolf can take control of him, but not fully shift him into a wolf or take certain attributes and add them to his human form yet... But once he shifts at the full moon his wolf will be able to do that just like Naomi.)

"Before I had changed you, you were about to choose her over me..." I cast my glance down towards the floor, out of embarrassment and grief, as I thought about the previous events.

His booming laughter broke the tension in the room as his boots clicked across the floor, signaling his approach towards me. His hand cupped my face, bringing my pained gaze to his loving one. "I was foolish before and wasn't seeing what was right in front me. But now you have cleared the haze and I see what I was missing."

"What are we going to do with the girl?" I whispered as my eyes searched his face for any hidden emotions. His eyes held no emotion before looking towards the girl in the corner. My eyes scanned his strong jawline, his high cheekbones, his ocean blue eyes that rivaled the Caribbean, and his dark black tousled hair (A/N: IDK if I gave info for Bear's appearance but if not here ya go...). Even though he had been on the verge of rejecting me, and was about to choose some other girl over me, all I felt for this man was love. Pure, untainted adoration for him. Nothing could change how I felt towards him especially with our bond growing.

"She is a witness..." He paused as he began to move towards her, stalking his prey. His movements were slow, but to a human would appear menacing. "Maybe we should kill her!" He gave me an enthusiastic smile as he looked over his shoulder at me and then back towards the girl.

"Bear... Please! This isn't you!" The girl pleaded from the corner she sat in.

I snickered as I took in her mousy looks and petite, but frail, form. If Bear and his wolf really wanted to kill this girl there was no reason for me to stand in his way. He would only be doing me a favor since she had tried to wedge herself in between the only man I would love, the only man made for me.

"Who says what is and isn't me? Surely you can't be the one to decide that for me. It is my life after all, my actions that I choose to carry out. Not yours." His face darkened as he stepped closer to her, trapping her in the corner of the room with no escape.

I stayed back a distance from the skirmish and enjoyed my front row seat of this fine spectacle. Positions of power really did suit the prince.

"No... Please, don't listen to whatever that girl told you. You had said we would finish courting before getting mar-"

"I don't care what I said," Bear rumbled at the girl as his hand shot out, forcefully constricting around her neck. Her small form was raised off of the ground and slammed into the wall, successfully cutting off her sentence about marriage.

"I-I-I can't... Breathe..." Her words were short and choppy as his hand continued the vice-like grip, constricting her airways further.

'Shouldn't you give the girl a chance?' My wolf asked, suddenly becoming the responsible one who didn't want blood on her hands.
