"A! A please! Please A where are you!" I screamed through the house. "Why won't you talk to me!" I ran down the stairs. Panic began to rise inside me. I sat on the floor in the living room, and silent tears dripped from my eyes. My mom walked in the door, I didn't even turn to her. "Rowan? Rowan what's wrong?" She sat her stuff down and sat in front of me. Tears fell quickly and silently. I shook my head. "Rowan, tell me now." She said, concern scribbled across her face. "A-A's... Gone." I choke out quietly. She stopped for a moment and looked at me. "Isn't that a good thing Rowan?" She asked. I though about it. Was it? Was it good that I might not ever see him again. My best friend? The meanie? I cried more. I shook my head. "Well honey, you made A up. Can't you make him come back?" I shook my head quickly. "Yes, honey you can, I'm sure you could just think him up again." I was beginning to get frustrated. "No. A's not like the fake imaginary friends every other kid has. He's real and he'll leave from time to time. He comes back. He... He wouldn't just leave me...would he? I thought, I was important.. You don't believe me anyways." I give up. I stand up before my mom could say anything. The twins standing at the staircase looking at me. "A!" I scream. "Where are you?" I whisper to myself. I go to my room.
