A letter to my love

Dear beloved,
I yearn for sleep while tossing and turning in my bed,
But your thoughts have made me an insomniac as till my mind they have spread.
My eyes seem to fall asleep yet my mind is awake,
I remember your skin which was as delicate as a snowflake.
Oh! your eyes, how can I forget them ever,
I wanted to get lost in those blue beauties forever.
The perfect shape of your smile when you curved your lips,
How soft and gentle you were from the top to the tips.
From your beautiful curly brown hair with locks hanging over your face,
I remember everything to tying your shoe lace.
There are uncountable happy moments we shared,
Everything was so beautiful until we unpaired.
Your voice so soothing and mesmerising,
Even today, I wish it to be your call each time I hear my phone ring.
But how stupid I am to think that way,
You are long gone and resting in your grave.
So this letter I put above your gravestone today,
And 'Happy 50th Anniversary  darling' is what I have to say.
Love,
Your husband.
