Chapter 6- WASHINGTON

DAMONS P.O.V

It had been a few days since I talked to Bonnie, she was digging and searching everywhere to find answers. There were leads that lead to dead ends, right now she was on to something, a family in Seattle, Washington might be we're all the answers are. If so, me and Elena will travel there as soon as possible and she'll give birth there. I don't know much yet but I'm hoping this doesn't just lead us to another dead end. As for Elena, she was worse, skinner.

As of now it was late at night and I was laying next to her, she was sleeping, peacefully but me on the other hand couldn't fall asleep. I was worried about her, I didn't want to fall asleep and have something happen to her. I was afraid.

ELENAS P.O.V

I jumped up out of my sleep to feel a sudden burst of pain. Damon was right next to me and jumped to, he was alarmed.

"Elena?! Whats wrong?!" He was scared,

I was crying by now "the baby...! It hurts really bad Damon! I think it hit my rib!" With one kick, another rib was broken, I gripped my stomach as hard as I could, why was it doing this?

He put his hands over mine that were placed on my stomach and gently pressed down, I guess he was hoping the baby would be scared off by it or know that we were there and stop. If I pulled up my shirt you could see black and purple bruises all over symbolizing where the baby has been kicking, that's how strong it was, it was uncomfortable. Whenever it moved I could feel it, it felt like the inside me of was being stretched out, it hurt. Then I heard Damons soft voice taking to my stomach.

"Hey there little guy..or girl, you don't have to be scared, it's okay, daddy and mommy are here and we can't wait to meet you" he smiled, then lightly kissed my stomach knowing there were bruises and he had to be gentle.

I smiled at that. All of a sudden, it stopped. "I think it likes the sound of your voice"

He smiled, put his hand on to my hair "were gonna figure this out, your both going to be okay, you don't have to worry, promise"

I could only nod, I knew he was wrong, what if we both weren't okay? I would sacrifice myself for my baby, hands down, no question. He then kissed my lips softly, laid back down, wrapped his arms around my big belly and I felt sleep take over my body.

A few days later....

DAMONS P.O.V

I loaded me and Elenas stuff into the car, we were headed to the air port and then Washington. Bonnie had talked to the family, at least the father of the family. It was a family of vampires and one was a doctor. Two pairs of them had, had children already.

ELENAS P.O.V

We were finally on the plane, Damon had to compel everyone to let me on. I was "to far along to fly". I also caked my face with makeup to cover up the dark circles under my eyes and to hide my petruding cheek bones but it didn't help much. I was sitting on the outside, I couldn't sit near the window or I'd probably barf on everyone, Damon was right next to me. I looked at him, with a little smile and he held my hand.

I slept most of the time. We had one stop in between. The whole flight was about nine hours. We finally landed and damon woke me up with a gentle nudge.

"Hey sleepy head, were here" he chuckled.

I groaned "I know we're here, that's why we're not in the sky anymore" ha. 

He rolled his eyes. We waited for the plane to stop moving and for the okay from the pilot to start getting up and moving off the plane. I was uncomfortable and tired, so he needed to hurry up. I was also starving- when am I not anymore? We were finally able to get off the plane, Damon helped me up. I could barley carry my own weight I had become so skinny yet so big at the same time.

Our hands intertwined and we walked off the plane, got our luggage and got the car we had rented, well that Damon had rented. The Cullen's were nice enough to let us stay at there house, I'm guessing it's pretty big. The whole time in the car I was looking out the window, it was so..green and foresty. It was raining and cold but it was pretty. Me and Damon didn't say anything to each other, we just held hands the whole way there.

All we had was hope.
