Chapter 7- ACQUAINTANCES

We drove it this hill and around it, If that makes sense?..the house was at the top of the hill, pretty secluded from the little town of forks. It was so green and there was so much forest. The house was big. It was modern and had a lot of Windows. It was large and graceful, rectangular and well proportioned. The southern wall of the house is basically almost entirely windows, looking over a river. There was a porch that wrapped around the house. It was on a mountain top, mainly surrounded by forest and wild life.

The car stopped and I looked at Damon, who smiled a small smile. As I was getting out of the car I bended down to stretch my back, I felt a hand on my arm and back, then looked up, there Damon was and our eyes met.

"Are you okay?" His eyes looked bluer then blue, god he's hot.

I nodded "Damon, I'm fine."

A few seconds later a lady and a man came out of the house, I'm assuming it was the doctor and his wife. The man had blonde hair, incredibly handsome, he looked like a movie star. His eyes were dark brown with a gold tint to them.
The woman next to him was around 5'5. She was petite, her hair was a caramel color, her eyes were like the man she was next to except hers were darker. She smiled at us with a welcoming smile.

"Welcome. I'm Esme and this is my husband Carlisle" her voice was soft and welcoming.

"I'm Elena and this is Damon" I said. There was an odd smell but I didn't want to be rude, it smelt like old wet dogs.

Carlisle nodded and smiled "so we've heard, why don't we show you inside"

Me and Damon looked at each other and both nodded.

The couple led us both inside, the first level was open and bright, with a few internal walls. To the left there was a wide central staircase. There was a raised area with a piano right as well as the kitchen and dining room which I'm assuming they barely used, well, because there vampires. Behind the stair case was an office.

"Wow" was all I could say.

Then I heard a voice and a chuckle, one that I've never heard before "Oh and trust me, you haven't seen the next two levels" his voice was deep and teasing like, it sounded as if it was coming from the stair case.

"And that would be Emmett." Esme said with a smile. I assumed I was right about him being the one to tease everyone.

"And that would be me" the voice said again, this time closer and I could hear him coming down the stairs.

Me and Damons hands were intertwined. The tall man made his way down the stairs- woah he was big, he must have been about 6'5. He looked like he was a weight lifter, he was so muscular and just..big. Big was the only word I could think of. His hair was dark...dark and curly. His eyes were a blue color, like Damons but darker.

"Emmett would you please go upstairs and wait until we have shown our guests the rest of the house?" Esme suggested.

He groaned "The others are asking questions. The kids are getting rambunctious and won't sit still for much longer."

"Tell them we'll be up soon" Carlisle stated.

Emmett then dragged his feet back upstairs making a loud thudding noise. Others? The kids? By others did he mean the other siblings or?? And kids? It was hard to focus my hearing because I was so tired and the pregnancy had taken a lot out of me.

We then went to the second floor, which there was just a bunch of living rooms and a few bathrooms and rooms, then up to the third floor. There were more bedrooms and a bathroom. There was also a gigantic library and Carlisles private office and mini library was also there. I had to say, the house was amazing, so open and modern. It's something I could see me and Damon living in.

We then made our way down to the second level where everyone was, which was weird because we seemed to miss them the first time.

Nine People were standing in the main living room I guess you could call it, three kids and six adults.

"I'm Elena" I said.

"I'm Damon" Damon said.

I heard snickering between the two little girls, then a man standing to the right of them gave them both a look like he knew what they were both thinking. The man was lanky, but not bulky. His hair was untidy and he was very boyish looking.

"Hi. I'm Edward. One of Esme and Carlisles children"

"Children?" I asked

"Well adopted, Me, Bella my wife" he said sharing a small smile at a very fair skinned girl with dark brown hair and chocolate colored eyes. "Alice, Rosalie, Emmett and jasper"

"And I'm Bella, Edwards wife" the fair skinned girl said. She then looked down at a girl standing below her and Edward. The girl looked about eight, she had shiny bronze curls that fell naturally in her hair with chocolate brown eyes like her mom. Her cheeks looked as if she had rose petals against them.

"And this is our daughter, Renesemee" Bella smiled down at her.

Renesemee.

Never heard the name before, it was unique and beautiful.

"Hi!!" The girl giggled "I'm Nessie!" She was giggly and full of life.

I was surprised.

"And you..had her?" I asked.

"Well, when I was still human." Bella stated.

Nessie then looked up at Edward and Bella.

Edward nodded, the girl walked over to me so I bend down, she reached her hand up to my cheek. There was a flash of memories, her memories. I could see her as a fetus, which was weird but then I saw Bella as a human, who died but was turned .

"What..what was that?" I was so confused.

"She has a special gift where she can project her thoughts..or memories onto anyone she touches with her palms. She was showing you her first memories" A man with honey blonde curly hair, he was muscular but lean.

"Fascinating" Damon said. He had barley spoken throughout this whole thing, i think he was just over whelmed, I mean I was over whelmed. This was all new. So new.

We were then introduced to Emmett and Rosalie. Rosalie had golden blonde hair and blue eyes, they were almost violet, really pretty. She was almost model like. Her hair was wavy and went down to her mid back. Then we met Alice and jasper. Alice had long brown hair with a wave to it and light brown eyes, she was very petite. I could tell from her outfit she was quite the fashionista. Then we had met there kids, Jaxon and Jazlyn who were twins. They looked about Renesemee's age or a little younger. Jaxon had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes while Jazlyn had blonde hair and green eyes.

Later that night after dinner I was laying in bed next to Damon, our hands intertwined as always. I was thinking, like always. I still had so many questions ,like, Did anyone else have gifts like Renesemee? What were the kids considered? Vampires? Humans? Both? How did Alice carry both twins while a vampire? I mean..the same as me but you know. What do the kids eat? If there vampires, does it stay that age forever? Or will it grow and eventually stop at a certain age?

Still, so, many, questions.
