Chapter One

Hi, I'm Max. My best friend is Ashley but we call her Ash. Right now we are at college, so it's pretty boring. We are both single at the moment and-
"Max, what's the answer to this question?" The professor points to the board. I'm very good in ELA so I answer this question easily.
"A."
"Correct," she says. "I hope you all have a good day today and see you all Monday." We stand up and walk out the classroom.
"Thank god that's over!!" I say to Ash.
"Max it's only been an hour since we were in her class calm down" but she laughs anyways. We walk down the hall and I run into her brother.
"Luke!!" I shout. I hug him and he hugs me back. Luke is my best friend and has always been there for me since 6th grade. Part of the reason why I came to this college was because he was here and Ash was coming, too.
"How about we all go eat out tonight? My treat." Ashley says.
"Sounds great," I say. "Where at?"
"Our favorite place" she says.
"Oh cool!!!! Well Luke, I guess we'll see you later?"
"Nah," he says. "I'm going meet some friends. Maybe tomorrow we can all hang out."
"Okay" I say sadly. Ash and I walk back to our dorm and get ready to go to the park.
At the park*
We ended up playing around and stuff we were bored. After we got hungry we went to McDonald's.
"Oh hey" I suddenly hear behind me. We turn around and I'm shocked to see who is there.
"Luke!" I say. "What are you doing here??" I finally notice the girl under his arm.
"Oh well me and Paisley were just coming to grab something to eat. Paisley this is my little sister, Ashely. This is our friend, Max. Max and Ash, this is my girlfriend, Paisley."
"Nice to meet you", I say. I'm shocked. He didn't tell me he had a girlfriend. I could see Ash thought the same. "Um... hi" is all she says.
Paisley looks me up and down in a way I don't like. Luke catches it but doesn't say anything. He knows what's about to happen.
"Um you got a problem?" I say. "No I just thought something else" she says.
"Well then don't look at me like I'm some sort of thing that's going to ruin your relationship, honey." "Excuse me?!" "You heard me"
"Never talk to me like that!" Paisley shrieks. "Well then don't look me up and down" I argue back. I turn around before I get into any trouble, but she has other things in mind. She grabs my hair and pulls it. I did the quickest 180 in my life and slap her across her face. "NEVER. EVER. DO. THAT. NOW GET OUT!" I holler. "Well we are gonna go now sooo ummm. I'll see you guys later" Luke says and hurried away with Paisley. I roll my eyes at her. "I don't like her either. I'm glad you did that", Ashley says. We both laugh. "Well good now lets eat I'm starving"
