Jimin's POV
I watch as she leaves the cafeteria, a small smile forming on my lips. She was cute, that Kang Seulgi. I look at my friends, holding in my laughter as I watch girls swarm them with gifts and compliments. At first, we were pretty uncomfortable with the attention, but then after sometime we got used to it. My eyes drift to the cafeteria door and having a debate in my head, I decided to join Seulgi. I run out of the cafeteria, looking for her and found her heading to the rooftop. I quietly follow her as she walks up the stairs and opens the door.
The sun was covered by a few thin clouds, but its light still shone through. A small breeze can be felt as I watch the wind play with Seulgi's hair. The weather was beautiful, but not as beautiful as Seulgi. She was eating her lunch and looking up at the sky, her lips parted as she watched the world in amazement. She looked so innocent, yet scared at the same time.
" You shouldn't eat lunch alone. It's no fun when you don't have someone to talk to," I say, an amused smile forming on my lips as I watch her look at me with the cutest face I have ever seen. Her eyes were wide open and her cheeks had a pink tint to them, her mouth forming into an O. I laugh, watching her blush in embarrassment.
Seulgi's POV
" Ji-Jimin," I stutter, shocked and surprised to see him there. My heart began pounding in my chest as he laughs, the sound like a sweet melody. I blush. " You shouldn't scare people like that," I say, looking down.
" I scared you?" he said, trying to sound innocent. I nod, not wanting to look at him or else my heart might explode. He laughs again and to my embarrassment, he walks in front of me and kneels down, his face a few inches from mine as he looks into my eyes.
" I thought I talked to you about this already. You should stop looking down or else no one would be able to see your beautiful face," he says, placing his finger underneath my chin and lifting my face up. I begin to blush, my face turning a deep shade of red. Why does he always make me blush? He lets go of my face and takes a seat next to me, looking at the sky with a small smile on his face. I watched as his eyes shone with wonder and amazement at the view and I couldn't help, but think how innocent he looked right now. He wasn't my popular seat partner who fell asleep on his desk and gave me a cold look when he first met me, but rather, he looked alive. He turns his head and looks at me, causing me to abruptly face the other way, afraid that he caught me staring at him.
" Why don't you eat in the cafeteria? I mean, you can go try to make some friends and it would be less lonely than sitting here, " he says. I don't say anything and just silently nod. I wasn't the type to want to make friends, but it's not like I don't want them. I just didn't know how.
" It's not as easy as it seems," I whisper to him, not meeting his eyes.
" Sure it is. Everyone has kindness in their heart, but some people hide it with hatred. People aren't as hard to approach as you think," he explains, giving me a reassuring look.
" Well, aren't you a bundle of sunshine,'' I say, a small smile forming on my lips at his remark.Who could have imagined that the same guy who fell asleep on his desk in class was this deep.
He stared at me, shocked.
" Did Kang Seulgi just make a sarcastic remark? Did she just smile at me? " he shouted, over exaggerating.
I let out a small chuckle, surprising myself. No one has ever made me laugh this much and yet, Park Jimin can. The bell rings and we both get up. As we walk down the stairs, he turns around and faces me.
" Next time you come here, don't be surprised to find me here too," he says, winking at me. He laughs and continues to walk down the stairs to class. I stood there, shocked and embarrassed. Did Park Jimin just say he wanted to hangout with me? Well he didn't say it, but he implied it. I stood there until the late bell rang, waking me up from my trance.
