**Renee POV**

My eyes slowly opened as the alarm went off thankfully the curtains were closed stopping the suns rays from entering. I stopped the horrid sound and sat there in silence thinking about the weird night I had.

I was walking home from the studio last night when I heard a cut in the wind. I had an odd feeling that someone was watching me.

The sun was setting as I watched the night consume the bright orange-pink sky. So you could assume it was pretty dark out by the time I got home.

But even inside my house I didn't feel safe, I thought that maybe some cereal killer would jump out with a knife. Last I fell asleep with an uneasy feeling.

Now I'm curious as to what was following me, watching me from a distance. I sighed and stood up to take a quick shower then get dressed.

Today felt different, for once I wasn't dreading today. I was actually looking forward to it. I looked in the mirror after I got dressed and smiled, I looked so much like my mum. Maybe that's why dad drowns in piles of papers, because he doesn't want to come home and face me. The look alike of mum.

Why am I such a buzzkill? I say such good things then it all goes back to bad things.

For once I'm going to have a good day, I'll avoid my brother and his snobby girlfriend. I'll avoid my ex-best friend and hang out with Amanda and Mark.

Might as well make friends with Mark since I'm going to be seeing him everyday during and after school. With the exception of weekends.

But who knows it's a small town everyone practically knows each other so there's a high chance I'll bump into him.

"Renee!! Some guy is here." I groaned and walked down the stairs where my dad was waiting.

"Who is he." He stared me down and as a typical father he got protective when a random guy shows up at the door step asking for their little princess.

I looked over his shoulder and saw Mark, I raised an eyebrow.

"That's Mark, he's new and I've been showing him around." Father looked at me as if he was waiting for me to say some thing along these lines: Why would you care you're not around anymore.

"Ok that's fine then." He moved out of the way and Mark looked at me and smiled.

I walked forward, "What are you doing here?!?" I made sure to keep my voice down.

"Well..." he trailed off scratching the back of his neck, "I thought you might need a ride." He motioned to his truck in the drive way.

"Now why the hell would I get in a truck with a stalker?!?"

"How do you even know where I live!" He grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside.

"I was going to my truck when your weird friend, Amanda I believe, came up to me and gave me your address." He held up a piece of paper with the street name and house number.

3856 BlueJay Drive

She's so dead, I glared at the paper and snatched it out of his hand.

"Thanks for the offer-" I started but was rudely interrupted.

"Renee! Your brothers taking you to school." I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and a shirtless Matthew came into view smirking.

"Leaving already? Not even going to wait little sis." He started walking down the last set of steps.

"Actually I am." I reached inside and grabbed my bag from beside the door.

"Dad isn't going to like you going out with a guy like him." He remarked.
