Chapter 27

Ava POV

I turned on the alternative radio station as we drove back to the house.

"What even is this trash"

"AND NOW I JUST SIT IN SILENCE" "TOP TRASH" I yelled, then said calmly "Go straight towards the woods and my place is there"

He followed my directions, soon the house came into view

"Okay, so do not hit on my friend, don't talk to anyone, don't take my energy drinks or beer, tell someone if you go outside, because of past incidents" "And no parties"  I added

"Whatever miss bossy"

"That's Satan to you" I held onto his sleeve, "Before we go inside, I have a question" "What do you have against me?" "I mean you don't have to be rude all the fucking time"

"I don't know I guess it's just my personality"

I ruffled his black emo hair, "Okay" I open the car door then walked inside the house.

I saw Michael in the kitchen sitting at counter, I tried to hug him but he denied.

Okay then. Alex seemed to notice, he gave me a look as if saying what-the-fuck-is-his-problem.

I trotted up the steps up to my room plugging in my phone to let it charge. I turned on 'City Lights' by Motionless in White and kept it on low volume.

A few minutes later Mikey walked in, "Ava?" he asked seriously

I looked up at him, "So now you talk to me?"

He ignored my comment, "Who the fuck was that"

"Alex, his name is Alex" I said clenching my jaw

"And who is he?"

"An old foster care friend of mine" I left out details

"And why is he here"

"Because I had no way to get back here from Sydney" "You know what, why do I need to explain myself to you?"

"It's not like I'm worth anything to anyone" I whispered and opened the door, just to run into Alex.

"Were you listening to my conversation-asshole"

"Whatever, I just came to tell you that those people are home"

"Do me a favor and just stay in the guest room please"

"I don't know, why can't I meet them"

"I will lock you outside and leave you in the woods"

"Fine" he said walking away

I saw CC and Luke in the living room, "CC, you're home early" I gently hugged her small frame.

"Yeah, hospitals are too quiet"

"How're you feeling?"

"Still in a little pain, but I am a meme god so I try not to let it affect me"

"I love you"

"I lov- why's there a person behind you?"

"Damn it Alex" I spun around and hit him on the shoulder

"What? I got bored again"

"Don't you have a fucking phone?"

"Eh, that got boring also"

"Shit, now I have to lock you outside for the remainder of tonight"

CC laughed. Alex noticed and rudely pushed me aside, "And who are you?"
