As soon as the Prime minister reached the office, he took off his jacket and threw it onto the ground and then pulled himself down onto the couch really hard.
"How could something like this happen?" he growled angrily at Eiji as Eiji closed the door.
"I understand how you feel, sir." He answered.
Mitsu gave out a big deep sigh and rubbed his hands on his face forcefully then grabbed two hands full of hair from his head. "Ugh! Frikking idiots! Should I fire him?" he asked.
"It's up to you, sir."
"I asked you a question Eiji!" Mitsu said and turned his evil glare at Eiji.
Eiji sighed and bowed his head slightly, "My apologies, sir. Of course you should fire him. But may I ask?"
"Hmm?"
"How exactly will you fire the lead scientist from a world class project?"
Mitsu then angrily slapped down on the table in front of. Just then, someone knocked on the door. "Enter!" said Mitsu.
The Prime Minister's Secretary, Kyoko Harada, a young, slim, but curvaceous woman with long blonde hair tied into a bun wearing a suit and skirt along with a white shirt inside, entered the room holding a file. She looked first at Eiji with her bright green eyes and gave a smile with her sweet thin lips then she bowed her head to the Prime Minister. Eiji as she smiled averted eye contact.
"What is it?" asked Mitsu, sipping a glass of water.
"Yes um..! About Kabuto-!" she started
"Huh? Who's Kabuto?" Mitsu rudely interrupted.
"The brave volunteer who went into the portal, sir!" Eiji smartly added.
Kyoko turned to him and thankfully smiled. To no one's surprise Eiji once again averted eye contact.
"He seems to have been driven insane due to whatever he saw when he went through the portal. So far all he has been saying is 'It's the end' over and over again. The doctors are trying everything they can to calm him down but so far, no luck. And about the portal, the scientist have yet to find out what caused all the chaos. And to top it all off, governments of other countries does not know what caused the blackout, therefore, Japan is yet safe from being accused of anything." She explained and then once again bowed her head.
"Hmm!" Mitsu nodded.
She then left the room quietly. Eiji followed.
"Hmm? You seemed to be avoiding me in the room, Eiji!" she said teasingly.
"I was trying to act natural around him." Eiji answered, blushing slightly.
"How do you deal with him all the time? He is a pain in the ass, with that rude attitude and all." She asked getting into an empty elevator.
"I'm used to it." Said Eiji, pressing the 1st floor button then adjusting his jacket. "I've been his body guard since I was 20 after all."
"Hmm, yeah! But why did you have to join in that young?" she asked.
"That's personal." Eiji glared slightly at her from a side.
"Ho?! You won't tell your fiancé?" she asked swaying from side to side, embarrassedly.
"Awh! Is my poor cupcake embarrassed to say it out loud?" Eiji teased her and poked her on the cheek.
"Stop that!" she pouted cutely and as soon as she turned her head to him, he pecked a sweet kiss on her lips. She blushed furiously as she covered her lips and looked down. "Idiot!"
