When 18 year old April's dad gets a job for being a coach at a boys only high school, she gets private lessons from some of the teachers. But what will happen when she meets the team.

I woke up about 7:30, Tanner wasn't next to me but I was more focused on the sun lightly shining through the window. There was no sound apart from the light birds being heard. The realisation that Tanner wasn't next to me hit me had, I needed to see his smile. I ran down the stairs and out of his room, I got a whiff on nice smelling pancakes. I slowly creeped up behind him, and wrapped my arms around his waist, he was so much taller than me when I didn't have heels on.
"Good Morning Sleeping Beauty, did you sleep well?" I couldn't be bothered to speak so I nodded against his back. As he laughed, my head shock with the motion of him. He smelt amazing but the pancakes smelt better, I stopped hugging him and walked over and sat on the bench. He finished flipping the pancake and walked over to me. He kissed my forehead and ruffled with my hair, I didn't like that so I did it back, eventually we started play fighting, which ended with him putting pancake batter on my nose.

We had a debate on what goes on pancakes and we decided that whipped cream, sugar and lemon was the best idea. After filling ourselves with pancakes Tanner invited me to my first collage school party, I didn't have anything to wear for the occasion so we ended up deciding to go to the mall. After showering and doing my hair and makeup I picked my outfit.

I decided to wear my Adidas all-stars, a favourite pair of black jeans, a denim jacket and a random shirt. Once we were both ready we hopped into Tanners Truck and headed towards the mall. It was about a 20-30 minutes' drive as he lived out in the country.
Half way through the drive we got a text from one of Tanner's mates, he said that he wanted to hang out before we went shopping. There was going to be three of his guy mates and two other girls. Tanner told me about his friend who he went to elementary school with. His name was Dylan, apparently he was nice, and so was his girlfriend, Sarah.
After the long drive we arrived at the mall, he yet again opened the door for me. There stood his mates, standing near the entrance. He held my hand and locked the door as we walked away. After we all introduced each other we all walked inside. The two girls were already talking but I was too shy so I stood by tanner. I wasn't bothered, it was my first time here and I didn't know where I was going or what was around.
We got a few stares from his class mates and I recognised a few players from the team. They looked at all of us, but my focus wasn't on them, it was now on the table in the food court. The table had the people who I regretted seeing the most, there was those boys. The boys that bumped into me and told me they would see me again.
I shuffled closer to Tanner, he knew I felt uncomfortable, he leaned forward and whispered in my ear, "Baby, what's wrong is everything okay."
I couldn't speak, I just couldn't, no matter what nothing came out, there was a large lump in my throat, I slowly shook my head.
"I can't read your mind, you need to tell me," we stopped in the middle of the walkway, everyone else kept walking, not realising that we stopped.
"Those boys.....they were the ones I saw at school," Tanner slowly looked over at them, by now everyone else joined. Of course Tanner would of told Dylan, his best friend.
A few minutes went by, everyone here knew, the girls were hugging me, saying it was okay. Tanner and the boys were at the point where they were going to talk to them, I tried to make them stop, I pulled them back. That didn't work, the guys decided to walk over to us. I grabbed Tanners hand, I was scared, I wanted to run away, but I couldn't.
"Hey Princess, Remember us?" the lead guy Harry said, I could see Tanners jaw clench, he grabbed on my arm tighter.
"Don't call her that," Tanner spoke up. At this point it was like a suspense movie, everything and anything was happening.
"Why, are you going to hit me, I'm not afraid of you," he took a step towards us, "I'm not afraid of anyone." In that quick moment Harry grabbed my arm, yanking me towards him.
The rest of Harrys friends went forwards towards Tanner and his friends, pushing them back away from me.
"Tanner is it?, you see I get what I want when I want, that's how I role," harry leaned forward, towards me. He whispered in my ear, so quiet I'm pretty sure I could only hear it, 'I'll see you again princess, next time, for good.' He lightly kissed my temple, although Harry seemed like a 'Bad Boy' type he was gentle around me, never would of thought it.
But In an instant I could feel so much anger in the room, Tanner pushed past Harrys friends and bolted towards, I was push out of the way, so much that I fell to the floor. But quickly stepping up and running towards Tanner's friends.
In that moment Harry had punched him, and Tanner punched Harry, the rest of the guys had pulled him apart, Tanner was pushed back towards me. I was scared as much as he was, I sprang towards him, grabbing onto his chest, grabbing a handful of his shirt and holding him.
We both looked up at Harry, "Remember this face, as it won't be the last time you will see it." Harry and his boys had walked away, now nowhere in sight. Tanner's friends had helped me and him up, Sarah and the other girl was super nice and talked to me, asking if I was okay every two seconds.
Eventually everyone else had left to get ready for tonight's party, I had already gotten my dress and we drove the long ride home.
Chapter 8 and 9 are coming today on the same day..
