chapter 5

When I woke up it was 10 am, Tanner was due to arrive at 6, I showered and grabbed breakfast. I had my usual, granola and yoghurt.

Soon enough the time went by very quickly, it was about 3 and I decided to start to get ready, I put on my makeup on and started to do my hair. Next I picked out my outfit, I got a long black skirt of mine, a plain white shirt and a small green jacket, I also found my favourite pair of louis Vuitton heels. My outfit looked nice, I didn't exactly know where we were going, and this seemed like a casual for me. I loved this outfit as it showed of the light curves that I have.

Once I was done it was almost 6, I skipped downstairs and said goodbye to dad, I told him earlier on today about my 'date' at first he wasn't happy, but I told him what a good and nice guy Tanner was. Soon enough once our conversation was over there was a knock at the door, Dad bet me to it and opened it. My heart melted when I saw Tanner standing at the door in a nice suit and a bunch of flowers in his hand, his hair was nicely gelled back.

"Hey Coach, Is April there?" He said as he shook my dad's hand, I was hidden behind the door, but I could clearly see him.

There was no sound in the room apart from my heels clicking against the marble floor, Tanners head turned towards me, his mouth practically flew open as I was in view, dad rested his hand on my shoulder.

"Wow.... You Look.... Wow!" I could tell that he was lost for words, his eyes were bulging out of his head and plus I've seen that on plenty of guys before.

"Oh, these are for you," he handed me the bunch of beautiful white flowers, I softly sniffed them as they smelt so beautiful. As we headed out the door, we waved to dad, but the thing that I was not expecting, and was completely embarrassed about was the fact that dad yelled out, "Remember Tanner, I can check the school records and find out where you live."

After that point I practically pushed Tanner towards his truck, It was a nice truck, it was the usual type of car that guys would have around this town, I have seen so many already and it hasn't been a week.

"Wow you clean up nice, I've never seen you without jeans or your football gear." I explained as we walked into the car, he was so nice he held open the door for me.

The car ride has been about 30 minutes so far, we have jammed out to our favourite songs and told funny stories, he has a really cute laugh. I continued to ask so many times about where we are going, I asked so many other times for hints, and or clues, he still won't give in. We are nearing near the city, I can tell as it looks fancy compared to where we live.

Not long after the car stopped, in front of a fancy restaurant, he quickly stepped out and chucked the valet the key and ran to open the door for me, I gently and carefully tried to get out of the large truck, but it was no use, I accidently fell. But luckily there was the closet pair of hands to help me back up.

"That's the second time that I have caught you when you fell, seems like a habit." He said, he gave a light chuckle as he finished his sentence.

Dinner was great, I had gotten a nice salad and tanner got a huge steak, I was actually surprised that he finished that but apparently Dad makes all the players eat so much protein. I would honestly hate to be on the football team, poor animals they had to give up their lives. Tanner decided to pay for the food, I begged him not to and that will pay him back, but he said it was okay. Looking at the bill I would have had to pay him back for years.

After Dinner, we decided to go to an arcade, it all started with a bet that I could beat him at gutter ball, I won but he said he was just going easy on me, which I know isn't true. It was nearing around 9:30, I hadn't realised that time went by so quickly. We eventually decided to drive back, but before that we went to the supermarket and grabbed some snakes cause that was my prize for winning gutter ball.

"You look cold, here have my jacket,"

"No, I'm fine," he denied and started to take of his jacket, it was so big on me, but It smelt so good.

The ride home was very fun, I still had his jacket on and we were still jamming out to music. We both weren't really bothered by the fact that during the ride we ending up holding hands.

About 20 minutes later we arrived at my house. I got out my flowers that he previously gave me and we walked up towards the door.

"Had a great time tonight, it was fun."

"Yea me too, we should do it again some time." He chuckled.

I handed his jacket back, hugged him and said goodbye. But I felt like that wasn't good enough, so I did with what my gut told me.

"Tanner wait!"

"April, get inside your going to catch a cold---"

That moment happened in the blink of an eye, I ran up to him and grabbed his neck kissing him on the lips. I felt sparks fly, butterflies in my stomach, but it felt so good. The moment lasted a minute maybe two, it felt like it went on forever though. Eventually, the good moment finished, we were just staring into each-other's eyes.

"You don't realise how badly I wanted to do that." I thought by doing that he would think I am weird or even crazy for doing that.

Eventually after a final kiss on the cheek we said our goodbyes. It was kind of hard to leave, but as soon as I walked inside I felt like a fairy-tale princess. Dad was already in bed as he has a full day of training tomorrow, I realised that I had a lesson of English. So I had a shower and went straight to bed remembering one of the best nights that I have had in a while.

Tanner's POV

April drives me mad, she makes me fall so madly in love with her, and the kiss, that kiss....WOW!
