~(Y/n)p.o.v~

I woke up to the sound of Sans's voice so loud like he was yelling at something. When I opened my eyes I saw him on the phone, I couldn't make out what he was saying but, it sounded like threats. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and sat up when he hung up the phone, his left eye glowing a fierce blue. Once he noticed he had woken me up he started calming down, his eye going back to their normal colorless state.

"H-hey kiddo, sorry for waking you up. Had to... Take care of something."
"Sans who were you on the phone with?"
"Eh... No one, don't worry about it." He shrugged it off with his normal grin and teleported downstairs. He's definitely hiding something, Sans is too lazy to raise his voice unless it's necessary.

Sighing I got out of his bed and stretched my somewhat stiff limbs. Checking the time (9:16 am) I changed into comfortable clothes and putting my PJs in my bag. I exited the room and walked downstairs to the kitchen, figuring I'd make breakfast for everyone since Papyrus only knows how to make spaghetti. As I was getting the ingredients a thought occurred to me.

"Sans is never up this early, he never yells, never makes threats unless it's about Papyrus, and is never this on edge."

I put the ingredients down on the counter and peeked into the living room. Sans was tapping his foot on the ground impatiently, deep in thought that even scared me. I've never seen Sans like this. Not even during the genocide run. I cleared my throat, catching his attention for him to stop. He sat up straight and stopped tapping his foot on the carpet floor. I walked over to him and sat down, folding my hands together.

"Sans, what's bothering you? You've never acted like this before." He sighed and glanced at me. His smile had faded into a worried look as he looked at the ground.

"It's just," He sighed "Ever since Chara showed up I've been on edge. I mean, Chara, the demon child showing up in a pacifist timeline where they don't belong. You can't say there isn't something suspicious about that. And the more I think about it the more I wonder what they are planning. Another genocide? I don't know, and I don't want to find out."

To be honest, this is the most I've ever gotten out of Sans. However, I am not too surprised by this. Sans has always worried about what will happen if Chara showed up here, but we've never had to worry about it before. At least, not that I know of.

"Hey, it will be okay Sans. Whatever they're up to we'll be ready for it." I tried to be positive, though I felt like it wasn't such a big deal. To me, it felt like Chara isn't here to do harm. Let's just hope I'm right.

~Time skip to after breakfast~

I waved goodbye to the skeleton brothers and made my way to Waterfall. The peaceful music filled the air, making my busy mind slow and calm. Things have been such a rush since yesterday that I haven't been able to think.

Chara somehow got into this run, I was kidnapped by them, they reset, and now I'm here. Chara didn't seem as menacing when we talked, they were kind and sweet. Maybe they aren't as bad as people say they are. In fact, Chara may just be a normal person with a dark past. I wonder why people think they are evil. . .

Suddenly a glowing blue spear shot past me, barely missing my cheek. I had totally forgotten about Undyne. She was on her patrol of Waterfall right now and here I am in a daze and not watching where I'm going. More spears started flying towards me and I started running. I was unprepared for this encounter that I didn't even think about putting on something that would raise my defense. And not only was I barely dodging the spears, but she was catching up to me fast. I know this is a bad time to stop running but I just realized I walked through most of Waterfall without realizing it!

Just as I had dodged another spear I didn't see the one that was coming straight at me. When I noticed it I didn't dodge in time and ended up going straight through my leg. The pain hurt like crazy, how am I suppose to continue running when I've got an injured leg? I had no choice but to stop and pull the spear out. I forgot to pack some food for the trip so there goes any chance of healing until I reach a save point. I'll just have to bare with it for now.

Running was becoming tiring and I had finally managed to loose her. Geez, she's a persistent fish. I was getting closer to Hotland and I knew she was waiting for me there at the mountain. Taking this opportunity I sat down panting, taking the manly bandana out of my inventory. I wrapped it tightly around the wound. I've already lost a lot of blood, and the cuts I got from not being able to dodge well are bleeding too

"Can't believe I let that happen. . . Fighting her is gonna be much harder now with my injured leg." The blood quickly started soaking the bandana and I struggled to get up. I can hardly stand let alone walk.

~Second person~

You leaned against the wall and tried to let the pain subside, though you knew it wouldn't anytime soon. cradled You slowly added pressure, the pain spread throughout your leg to the point you wanted to cry. Knowing you had to press on you tried to ignore the pain and slowly started limping to where you need to go. The odds were against you, there was no way you could defeat Undyne on your own in this state. You weren't sure if Sans was anywhere nearby, and the possibility of Chara showing up is slim to none. Why would Chara show up anyway?

Limping slowed you down a great deal, but you could only go so fast. As you turned the corner and walked closer to the entrance of Hotland, you could hear Undyne's voice booming from the top of the mountain. You were too exhausted from running and blood loss that you didn't listen to anything she said. Stumbling, you continued on your way to Hotland, completely ignoring Undyne as you passed. Your vision blurred and darkened, your eyelids slowly started to close. Undyne's shouting sounded muffled and so far away, you could barely hear her.

Before you knew it you started falling to the ground. Just as you hit the floor you heard a voice yell your name. You felt relief wash over you as your eyes slowly started to close. Just then a figure was kneeling over you, telling you to stay awake.

"(Y/n) hold on! Don't worry I'm gonna help you!" They yelled, but all you heard was muffled noises. You felt your injured body get picked up and cradled, just before you closed your eyes and passed out.

~Chara's pov~

I cradled you in my arms as I watched your eyes slowly close. In a panic, I quickly checked your HP. You were badly hurt and your HP was at 5/20. I stroked your (long/short) (h/c) hair, guilt washed over me. If only I had stepped in sooner. .you wouldn't be in such bad shape.

I heard Undyne's voice from behind me, my rage was growing over the boiling point. Gently I laid you against the wall and brushed a strand of hair out of your face.

"Don't worry, she'll pay for what she did to you. . ." I stood up, my eyes burning a bright blood red. I turned to Undyne, my hatred shown in my eyes. She didn't even flinch as my scowl twisted into a menacing grin.

"You're gonna pay for what you did to (Y/n). That I can assure you."
