Entry 8

Dear Diary,

Today I asked Gilbert to come over and help find Allen. We had recently heard of a brutal murder in the area and he could possibly have done it. We ran to where the body was found, after the body was taken. We searched the area and found a split piece of wood with a nail through it. I had remembered that Allen's bat had a broken piece barely hanging on to the rest. I smiled and knew my little brother was still in the area.

James had thought of a place Allen and he found that would be a good place to lay low after killings. We ran, but Gilbert was still in the dark about the crime scene and talk about murders. We ran to the spot. It was lit nicely and a couple of twigs and leaves were tied together to make a cover for the hole. We ran down the hill and tore down the cover. Inside was Allen swearing to himself. He still hadn't noticed us. I simply said, "No swearing!"

Allen turned his head to see us and he frowned. It took about an hour to convince him to come back home and allow him to give a few blows to James's face. We all went back home safely. I went home with Gilbert. He took me to his room and asked when the whole crime scene and murder was about. I assured him it was okay. He still knew I wasn't telling him. I finally had told him how we killed people and poisoned my cooking and made cupcakes from victims. He nearly threw up. He gripped his chest and covered his stomach.

I assured him I never served him one of those and never will. Gilbert still didn't seem so sure about me. I told him how it's only for people that get on my nerves or don't treat me right. And that they will never be served in the bakery. He slowly trusted me again. I hugged him and promised to never do it in vain. He promised to never swear...around me. We kissed and made up.

All in all a good day...
