Dear Diary,

Another busy day at the bakery. Word has spread fast and I'm still happy! Why wouldn't I be?

Gilbert helped me pre-bake before opening and we had dozens of cupcakes ready for the picking. As business died down we went into the office when we closed for break. We sat around and ate lunch in the back. We talked about our little brothers and their antics. We talked about plans and later dates. We were so into a conversation we didn't realise the rapid ringing at the counter.

It finally caught my attention when a voice called. I stood up and walked to the costumer. At the counter was Alfred. I greeted him and asked if something was wrong. He told me Arthur came over and started coughing and acting sick. He volunteered to have home stay over to nurse him back to health. Poor man...

He ordered a dozen cupcakes to take to him. Such a good boyfriend. I sat back with Gil and told him about the news with Arthur. "Oliver I know you get lonely. Want me to stay over?" Gilbert asked. I said yes.

We worked the rest of the night and closed shop. We walked home and something happened in which I will explain in great detail:

We walked pass and alleyway on the walk home. A man grabbed Gilbert and held a knife to his neck. "Run! Liebe einfach laufen!" Gilbert yelled. I wasn't about to let Gil die I reached for my swiss army knife in my pocket. I pulled it out and flipped up the blade. I heard the man's breath hitch at the sight of my weapon. "Duck, poppet!" I yelled. Gilbert ducked as I threw the knife into the man's eye. The man released Gilbert as he pulled the knife out and dropped it to the floor. I went to grab the knife and finish the man off when Gilbert held me back.

I pushed the man down and took my knife back. I stood over the man and said one word that made him realise how easy it was for me to nearly kill him, "Baby..." I walked away holding Gil's hand. "Sie töteten fast einen Mann!" He exclaimed. I hung my head. "Yeah...I bet you don't love me as much anymore..." I pouted. He stopped walking, pulled me close and kissed my lips. We parted and he smiled,"Nein, Ich liebe dich immer noch ..." He chuckled.

We then walked home safely and he fell asleep on the couch. Night...
