~Emi's POV~

I heard whispers as I entered my home room. I was kind of hoping Ruby would be there, but life doesn't work out the way its supposed to I guess.

"EVERYONE GET TO YOUR SEATS!!!" The teacher said. We all ran to the seats closest to us. I sat next to a guy with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. Not to lie, he was kind of cute. "MY NAME IS MR. ROBINSON AND I WILL BE YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER. NOW THE FIRST THING WE ARE GOING TO DO IS I AM GOING TO HAVE EVERYONE GO TO THE FRONT OF THE ROOM ONE BY ONE AND SAY YOUR NAME, GRADE, AND WHAT YOU ARE."

Oh great. Now everyone's going to know I'm a human.

"STARTING FROM YOU MISSY!!!" Mr. Robinson said as he pointed to a pale skinned, white haired girl with sky blue eyes. She was transparent, and her legs were almost invisible.

"Ashley Granger. Junior. Ghost." She said in a hushed tone.

"NEXT, YOU." The teacher pointed to the person next to her.

"My name is Tracy Gavins, I'm a freshman and I'm a fairy."

"Oliver Yang, I'm a sophomore, and merman."

"YOU. GET UP." Mr. Robinson pointed at me. Shit.

I slowly get up. People who already know who I am whisper and giggle at me. I sigh.

"My name is Emi Amethyst. Freshman year, and I'm a...human." I said. The room fell silent. Then all of the sudden the class burst out laughing. Not like I wasn't expecting it, but it hurt. I gritted my teeth. The only people who seemed to not be laughing was the guy who sat next to me, and another girl. She had light brown hair, brown eyes and glasses. A golden aura floated above her. A fairy I'm guessing?

The guy next to me sat up and walked in front of the room. I quickly sat down on my seat.

"My name is Cameron Smith. I'm a freshman and I'm a wolf." He said. He slowly walked back to his seat and looked at me. He smiled. I looked away. Why would he smile at me? I thought.

The name call went to the girl with light brown hair.

"My name is Raina Violet. Im a sophomore here and a fairy!" She said in a cheerful voice. That was when the whole room gasped.

"The Raina Violet?!?! Queen of Fairies?!?!"

"No wonder she has the golden aura, she's the Queen!"

Everyone was whisper/whisper-yelling to each other. Raina seemed very uncomfortable. The Tracy girl looked as if she was about to faint.

"SILENCE!!! EVERYONE SHUT UP!!! RAINA GO BACK TO YOUR SEAT!!!" Mr. Robinson said. Raina ran back to her sew and buried her face into her arms in embarrassment. Pretty soon the name call ended and the bell rang.

I speed walked out of the classroom. I went to the music room and locked myself in one of practice rooms. I took out my phone and texted my only human friend, Hugo. We were friends for a long time before he moved away to Germany, attending an all human school.

Me: hey Hu, you up?
Hu: yeah I'm up
Me: cool
Hu: what's up?
Me: I got laughed at again
Me: there was also a little 'fight' before school
Hu: are you alright?!
Me: I'm fine, I wasn't in the fight anyway
Me: someone else took care of Savannah for me
Hu: ugh Savannah...
Hu: who is this person that protected you? Is he/she human?
Me: nope, she's a demon
Hu: hm okay
Me: you'll always be my only human friend Hu
Hu: good to know :P
Me: anyway gtg before someone finds me bye
Hu: bye
Hu: and remember
Hu: if anyone tries to hurt you
Hu: holler
Me: okay
