The second I barged in all eyes where on me and to top it off it was dead quiet. I stood there for a solid minute trying to compose myself and then I hurried over to where my father and family was. My face was burning to the point where I must have discovered a new shade of red. My father had a forced smile on his face but I could tell that his eyes screamed murder. I shuddered in fear.
"Why isn't this a lovely surprise! I'm so glad you could finally join us.", he said through forced teeth.
"Though I may ask where. THE. HELL. HAVE. YOU. BEEN!", and boom goes the dynamite.
"Okay first of all, hey dad! How are you my favorite father of them all! Good? Great, anyways so it's a really funny story. I went out for a walk last night because those three twats over there," I said motioning to my brothers who were looking at me with amused faces,"wouldn't let me sleep. So on my walk I found this baby deer all alone and I of course couldn't leave it all alone so I started looking for its family, which I eventually found and I started to play with them. Then I hadn't realized that it had gotten so late and I was tired and I swear I didn't mean to but I fell asleep and I really didn't hear you calling me. But none of that matters I'm here now and actually I thinking of going to change, you know since I won't be getting my ring or anything. Anyways what's for breakfast?", at the end of my rant I tried to change the subject since I could still feel all eyes on me. My father stared at me in silence, emotions swirling on his face like a tornado until he eventually spoke.
"So you're telling me that the reason you were late was because you fell asleep in the woods? The same woods which I forbad you from going into alone and even more so at night?", he said this in a very calm tone which scared me a whole lot more, but what terrified me the most was the realization that I had just dug my own grave.
"Hehehe....yeaaah?", I answered. I didn't even see his fist flying towards the top of my head. In fact I didn't see it at all, I felt it colliding with my skull, the pain spreading rapidly all the way down to my neck and probably beyond that. "OWW!", I cried out loudly, clutching the top of my head in a failing attempt to ease the pain.

Still clutching my head and with my vision going a little dark, I started to walk down the aisle heading to our home. I could feel Aura trying to reconnect with me but my head hurt too much to deal with her right now.
Just before I reached the exit I rammed into a random muscular chest, whose arms snake around my waist to keep me in place.
"Um, excuse me random stranger? Can you please let go? I have to go do some stuff and your kinda in the way.", I tried to free myself but he wouldn't let go, instead he held me closer.
"What was that nonsense you were saying earlier about not getting your ring...mate."
