The Purge: Sophomore Secrets

John's POV

So we knew we would have to tell the story of this year. We weren't ready for the hell and chaos that would approach us this time. This time we will be more detailed and make more sense.

It happened exactly a year after the first purge. We were at lunch with eachother but we had new friends we had warned them about the purge. We were the only people who came prepared. I'm guessing we were the only ones who feared what was going to happen this time or people just forgot but who would.

Grace's POV

So our new friends. Their names are Caleb and Annaleise. They really are sweethearts. Annaleise is really fun to shoe shop with. Oh they are also brother and sister. Caleb is literally so adorable but not my type.

So we all werw at the lunch table you know eating. That whole year was really weird without Michael you know because he was with us for almost 4 years Up to that point. Lance was heartbroken but he got over it with help from all of us.

"I really do still miss him but I am nit grieving anymore you know." Lance explained at lunch that day.

"Yea we understand that and we are happy you are happier now." Edwin said. "Right guys?"

"Yes." We all said in unison.

"Its been a whole year. Wow. That's actually fucked up. None of us have gotten over it." Ezra said.

"Yea, I still get nightmares thinking of the Dakota triplets." Lance said quickly.

Edwin's POV

John was on my right side and Lance was on my left. Grace was in front of me Annaleise to her left. Caleb on Grace's right and Ezra to his right. Wow. That's a lot. But that's where we were.

We heard the intercom. BINN BOON! I look at John he doesn't look phased at all he was just staring into space. Then we hear the fimiliar female voice. Grace mouths along perfectly.

"This the commencement of the annual purge keep eachother in your prayers stay safe. All crime is legal for 12 hours. Wherever you are you're trapped. Its exactly noon you have until midnight to survive. Stay Safe. I pray for you."

I look at Caleb his big brown eyes look at John. John has been his guide through this school so he was gonna stick with him. John and I broke up around maybe a month or two before that so if he got with Caleb it wouldnt have been a huge surprise.

"Anna make sure you keep your weapons on you as long as you can. Ok sis." Caleb said to his sister who is just an hour younger than him.

"Alright. I'm going to stick with Grace and Ezra unless you don't want me to." Annaleise said to Caleb then asked Grace.

"I dont mind." Grace said

"Cool" Annaleise exclaimed.

Before we knew it we were the only ones in the cafeteria. We all ran out. We found a class room we got in and locked it.

"Wow, its snowing outside." Grace said.

"That's important why?" I asked.

"Blood is more noticeable. We'll be able to tell where a person was killed outside. Nothing has started yet. Its only 12:05. Its should get chaotic at around 12:10 probably."

"So Caleb and Annaleise welcome to the purge." John said

"Yay?" They said in a sarcastic way.

"Yea, its actually really good excersice running from the killers. That how I look so bomb." Grace said.

Then we heard an explosion outside. A house had blown up just a few houses away from the school. It was 12:10 then we saw people run out and attack each other.

"I was right." Grace said.
