(Dan's POV)
"Why the fuck did you bring him to lunch??" Charlie angrily huffed when I made it back to my locker, ironically from spending time with the same boy Charlie seemed growling about. "Why not? He's pretty cool." I defended. "He's so fucking annoying! I don't even know how you stand him!" He exclaimed. I felt my face heat up, in what most would call "offense". I momentarily forgot who I was speaking to, anger overpowering my sense. Phil isn't annoying. He's beautiful and kind and smart and cute and happy and whatever the fuck else a mind like mine is not capable of comprehending. "He is not annoying! You don't even know him!" Charlie's eyes widened and his face turned red with rage. "Oh, and you do?" He rolled his eyes, biting his lip furiously, which should've been my cue to stop, but nevertheless, I continued. "Wow, Dan, you find a random 'cute' guy and suddenly he's more important than your best-fucking-friend" Charlie sneered.
I blinked. My anger deflated as I was filled with empathy. It wasn't that he didn't like Phil, I realized. He was acting like this simply because of something I know can be harsh from past experiences; jealousy. "Really Char? Come on, think rationally, you know I love you! And I'm not gunna leave you for some guy, dude, you know that!" I smiled, reaching to scruff up his hair, but he slapped my hand away. "Don't fucking TOUCH ME!" He screamed.
I nervously glanced around the hallway, checking for any whitenesses. There was one short girl with blonde hair who was practically jogging to her class.
"No that's not what this is about!" He screamed. I took a step back. "Dude, just calm down you're freaking people out, Ch-" I began to speak, and wasn't too surprised when I was cut off again by the boy in front of me.
"No I will not calm THE FUCK down!" I cringed at the loud sounds. "How dare you even say that??? It's like you don't even give a fuck about me anymore because of your dumbass boyfriend!" I stepped back in fear, but he stepped forward. "Am I intimidating, Dan? Does this scare you? Do you wanna run into his arms and tell him all about how your psycho depressed friend flipped his SHIT in the hallway like a MAD-FUCKING-MAN?!?" His arms flexed and his fists turned white in his hair. I moved to grab his shoulders, to try to keep him in place as I tried to reason again, despite knowing that when he's mad he never listens to a word anyone says. He ripped his hands from his hair, taking terrifyingly large bunches of hair with them. Blood flooded into the two awkward patches on his head I didn't have time to register before his fist was to my chin as he yelled "I SAID DON'T FUCKINGG TOUCH ME!"
The taste of blood overpowered the nothingness previously on my tongue, and my head made a sickeningly sinister clank as it hit the floor. I slowly raised my arms up in surrender. Rage had completely enveloped his features and his face burned bright red. I may have screamed but I don't remember. I felt his fists on my face and stomach, and I sure as hell felt my fist fly at their own demand.
I only registered the situation when we were pulled apart by two grown men, both dressed in all black security guard uniforms. I looked over at Charlie and suddenly it was like tiny waits had been placed on my eyelids. His face was all bloody and pieces of bright red hair littered the floor. My head dropped and in blurry vision I could see a tall figure trying to get passed the crowd of people to me. Even in my drowsy state I could tell it was Phil. My heart sank and my chest grew heavy with guilt. My entire body pounded with pain just before my eyes closed and I was absolutely nothing.

I woke up in a dark room, and a warm feeling on my left hand. I looked to my left to see Phil's head resting on the bed next to my thigh, his hand on mine. I turned my head to the right, my mom and dad were both there, my mom's head on my dad's shoulder. I looked back to Phil, wondering for a moment if we looked just as much as a couple than they did.
"Phil" I whispered. He didn't move. I moved my hand from his and moved to ruffle his hair. "Phil," I tried again, this time earning a small grunt from the sleeping boy beside me. "Phil, wake up." He seemed to snap up after that. "You're awake!" He shouted with a smile. I immediately slapped my hands over his lips on instinct. "Shhh. My parents are sleeping." I whispered.
"Sorry, I just got excited. Are you okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, where's Charlie?"
"Why do you care about him? He just put you in the hospital."
"Yeah, and I did the same to him, he's still my friend." I rapped my hand around his and intertwined our fingers.
It's been a long time, my dudes. I had a rough summer, sorry. I'll start posting here more. A lot has changed; I'm deleting all of my fanfics but this one. ✌🏽
