Today is one of my last days of collage. As I'm packing I walk to his room and grab one of his hoodies, but I stop when I see a note by his bedside table. The handwriting is to neat to be his own or one of his buddies, so I take a look.

Hey Neal,

I was wondering if you would like to meet up with me to get some coffee maybe? Call me!

-Linn

I threw it down with tears in my eyes. I texted Cyle asking if he had seen Neal recently, and went back to putting my stuff in my bookbag. My ringtone come up and I answer it.

"Luna? You ok?"

"No."

"What’s wrong?"

I told Cyle about what had happened.

"What?!"

"Yeah....I don't know how to handle it..."

"Come over to my place."

"I will after school 'k?"

"Yeah, and I'll keep an eye out for Neal."

"Thanks Cy. See you soon."

I ended the call and slung the pack across my shoulder. I turned to leave and yelled bye to Neal. He didn't answer, so I left, taking a donut with me.

(Time Skip)

I was walking back to Cyle's house when it started raining. I groaned.

Does it always have to rain?

I stopped at a small café and ordered a small hot chocolate and sat down in a booth closest to the window. I took a small sip, looking around the shop, but nearly spit it back out. Neal was in a corner of the café with another girl. They were laughing and he was well dressed. Dressed in a suit and tie I stared.

He's on a date.

I threw the rest of my coco away and ran back outside. I heard the door open and Neal came out, hand in hand with her.

How did he not see me?

I kept going with my head down. I heard them say goodbye and he caught up with me.

"Hey."

I simply glanced at him, my head still down.

"Are you new here? I don't think I've seen your cutie face around her before."

I changed my voice and replied.

"Yeah."

He laughed.

"No need to be so shy."

I shrugged.

"It's just a habit I guess."

"What's your name?"

"Jesi."

"Well, Jessi, would you like to get coffee sometime?"

"I thought you had a girlfriend?"

"What gives you that impression?"

"You were with a girl in the shop back there.."

He looked guilty, but still replied.

"Her? She's just a friend.."

Knew it.

"You sure?"

He looked at me with his anger rising.

"Yes."

"What if I told you that I know you have a girlfriend?"

At this point we turned onto an empty street and he smirked at me.

"Oh please."

He lifted my face, but luckily my hood still covered most of my face.

"Unless you're talking about you?"

"Wh-what?"

"You heard me."

I pushed him back.

"I have a boyfriend."

"Yeah, and he is right here."

"No, he is not!"

"Oh come on!"

I threw back my hood and yelled.

"NO NEAL."
