Witches Of East End

Chapter 7

   Samara was finally home from the hospital and was resting upstairs peacefully in her bed, as Julia, Diana, and Minerva were all gathered in the kitchen. "I'm so worried about Ravine, she hasn't been home since last night." Julia said in a worried tone as she checked her phone to see if Ravine called or texted her. "Don't worry, she's with that guy Ben, remember? I feel like their a thing now." Diana said with a laugh as they heard the front door slam shut. Ravine walked into the kitchen looking completely worn out, with dried tears on her face, and dried blood all over her clothes. "My god, what happened?" Minerva asked as she walked up to Ravine and gave her a small hug. "Ben is dead, Diana was right about my becoming a reality." Ravine said. "Oh honey, I'm so sorry." Julia said as she gave Ravine a big hug. "And, there's also someone you should meet." Ravine said as Baxter walked into the kitchen behind her. "This just gets better and better." Diana said with a sigh.

   Dean walked through the front doors of his house, and walked straight into the living room where he saw Ruby, and Mallory sitting on the couch. "Mom, I want some explanations, now." Dean said in anger. "This should be good." Mallory said with a laugh. "Dean, what on earth are you talking about?" Ruby asked as she stood up from the couch and walked over to him. "I saw the video of Samara downstairs in the basement of our house, with those tree things or whatever they are, all I know is that this house is cursed, and I'm gonna do something about it." Dean said as he walked upstairs in anger. "Dean, wait!" Ruby yelled as she went to go follow him, but she stopped and gave up.

   Julia, Diana, Minerva, and Baxter all gathered together at the dinner table. "No hard feelings anymore, ok?" He asked. "We wanna know why you're here." Diana said with a distrustful stare. "I don't know who it was, but someone freed me from the portal. I'm telling the truth, I hated living back in Salem in the witch trials for all eternity." Baxter said. "You betrayed us, your own family, why should we trust you?" Julia asked. "I didn't have much of a choice or the Shadow would've killed me if I didn't leave Salem through the portal." Baxter said. "Wait, who's Shadow?" Diana asked with a confused look on her face. "He's a myth, he kills and torcheres witches, he's also the original shapeshifter, and he's also a myth, so looks like your a phony liar, Baxter." Minerva said. "Fine, don't believe me, but he's coming soon, I promise you that, he's not a myth." Baxter said. "There's more than one shapeshifter then, I see." Julia said as she took a sip of her tea. "And I thought Samara and Ravine died back in the witch trials, what are they doing here?" He asked. "They were both reborn, and if you tell them anything about our past, I promise you, the three of us will put you back where you came from with no hesitation, ok?" Julia said in anger as she got in Baxter's face as he nodded his head yes. "Alright, now that that's over, who wants a drink?" Minerva asked with a smile as Diana raised her hand in the air. "Me!" She said.

   Dean pulled out his laptop and lied it down on the desk in his study room. He searched up the strange thing that was growing in his basement. As he remembered the name Julia said "Evil Oak." He finally found out where all of this led to, and that was witchcraft. "I knew it." Dean said to himself in anger as he slammed his laptop shut and left the study room.

   Samara was laying down in her bed with her eyes shut tight, as Ravine walked into the room. "Samara, come on, I know there's nothing wrong with you, get up." She said. "Fine, what do you want?" Samara asked with annoyance as she sat up on her bed. "Ben's dead, and it's all because of that dumb curse, and I just feel so sorry for never acknowledging him." Ravine said as tears began to fill in her eyes. "Can't we bring him back?" Samara asked. "No, it's impossible because he was cursed from my kiss." Ravine replied. "Everything will be ok Ravine, I promise." Samara said as they both hugged each other.

   Dean walked into the kitchen and saw his mom cutting onions for dinner later tonight. "Hi." Ruby said with a smile. "Cut the crap mom, I saw everything downstairs, and I did some research." Dean said as Mallory walked into the room and sat down on the counter entertained by Dean and Ruby's showdown. "Well then, please share what you found." Ruby said as she grabbed the knife in her hand and began to cut the onions even faster. "Witchcraft, that's all I have to say." Dean said as Ruby stopped cutting the onions, and she held the knife in her hand and froze in anger. "This is gonna be good!" Mallory said with a cheer. "Sorry son, but you know nothing about this, I suggest you let me handle this." Ruby replied. "Come on Ruby, we all know that's it's all witchcraft in this house, no need to lie to your very own son about this mess you caused yourself." Mallory said as she stared Ruby straight in the eyes. "God, I knew you were lying to me." Dean said as he stormed out of the room. "It had to be done." Mallory said. "You are really gonna regret what you just did." Ruby said as she gripped the knife in her hand.

   Ravine went upstairs in the quiet, roomy attic, to get a peace of mind and to relax. She sat down on the hard wooden floor, crossed her legs, and placed one special lit candle in front of her? As she gathered the lighted candle around unlit candles. She closed her eyes, as she thought about Ben, and how much she cared about him. She began whispering a spell to herself as her heart starting to beat very fast making it hard to breathe. All of the candles bursted into flames, and as she opened up her eyes, the candles were all completely melted into one big wax circle. "Ben." Ravine said as she saw his ghost appear right in the center of the circle.

   Samara walked out of the bedroom, and just as she was about to walk downstairs, she heard Julia and everyone else talking downstairs. "Listen, mom and Diana, I love my two daughters way to much for them to find this out, and Baxter puts that in danger, and he can easily use it to blackmail us." Julia said in the distance. "Hmm, this seems interesting." Samara whispered to herself.

   It was nighttime, it was finally time for Julia and the others to get some sleep. "Baxter, the couch is all yours." Julia said "Oh thanks, Julia, I mean mom." Baxter replied as he sat down on the couch. "If anything weird happens in the middle of the night, you know where our rooms are at." Minerva said. "Wait, how do you know about the shapeshifter anyways?" Diana asked. "He or she escaped out of the portal I think, I'm pretty sure there's more than one, goodnight." Baxter said as she rested his head on the pillow. "Now we know for a fact there's more than one." Julia said as they heard a loud, deadly piercing screech outside of there house. "What in the world was that?" Minerva said as the three of the them opened the front door and saw two rotting undead versions of Samara and Ravine on the porch.
