CHAPTER 11
ANYA P.O.V
I felt ashamed of my self. How could I enjoy this .This was not right. My feelings were not right.
"Anya this is not your fault It's the mate bond. No matter how much we hate him or loathe him, the mate bond weakens us. Stop blaming your self. This will be over soon. They are coming. I can feel it Anya. We need to hold on for a little longer" Alex said weakly before disappearing again.
She was getting weaker by the day. I could feel it. I was losing her and she was appearing less and less now. Alex please don't leave me I begged silently.
"Oh please come soon daddy. My wolf is dying" I started to sob
MARCUS P.O.V
We have been running for hours. Pounding through the forest. Even the animals of the forest hid in fear when they heard us running. We were near his territory. I could smell their faint smell. Only a few more minutes. We ran through the woods, dodging trees and jumping over the fallen trees and twigs. My pack was on a high and they were ready for a fight if needed. As we approached the territory, I skidded to a halt and linked with all my pack.
"We are here" I said
They all stopped and surrounded me waiting for my instructions.
"Everyone wait here and don't make your selves be seen by their pack. I will go with Liam and enter their territory. I will speak to Caine and assess the danger. You can all shift back now and wait for my orders" I told them.
I shifted back into my human form and so did Liam. We both put on our jeans. I looked at Maria who had approached us. She looked so broken at this moment and I felt sadness. She had a desperate look in her eyes and her eyes were pleading me silently. I just gave her a nod assuring her I understood her.
"I want to come" she asked desperately.
"No Maria. You must stay here. If we take you he will know something is wrong and he will get suspicious. You stay here with the pack. I give you my word Maria, if she's in there I will bring her back. You will have your chance " I told her softly and touched her shoulder to comfort her, which earned me a growl from Liam. I just smirked at him.
"Come on Liam let's go " I told him.
He looked at Maria and gave her a small smile before following me. We walked barefoot towards Caine's territory. We had only walked about a hundred yards when a few wolves came out and surrounded us both. I looked at Liam who just smirked at me.The wolves shifted back into their human forms. I eyed each of them carefully and smirked to myself .
"They look pathetic" my wolf victor laughed
One of the men moved towards us watching us carefully and being careful. I could smell his fear. I mean who wouldn't be scared of us. We were big. Even in our human forms we screamed power. We were giants compared to these men infront of us. You could see they were all intimidated by us and kept looking towards each other nervously. They knew clearly that even with five of them they couldn't take us on.One of them came forward and bowed his head in respect. He had smelt the Alpha in me and he knew who I was.
"Alpha Marcus what brings you on our territory without permission?" He tried to be intimidating.
I narrowed my eyes and he immediately knew that was the wrong question to ask me. My silver eyes flashed black and Liam got in his defensive position ready for an attack. The men all took a step back out of fear.
"I am here to speak with your Alpha Caine. I need to see him urgently, so I suggest you mind link with him and tell him that Alpha Marcus and his his Beta are here before I really get pissed off and trust me you don't want to see me any more pissed of than I already am PUP" I spat out the last pup word. They all gulped and looked at each other looked worried. The pup' s eyes glazed over and I knew he was linking with his Alpha.I looked at Liam and nodded my head for him to stand down. He relaxed a little but was still weary of these five.
"Okay come with me Alpha Marcus and Beta Liam. Our Alpha is waiting for you. The Alpha was asking if it was just the two of you?" The pup questioned.
"Do you see anyone else with us?" I said growling at him.
He shook his head to say no quickly. We followed them until we reached the pack house. I could see Liam sniffing for Anya's scent
"I can't smell her" he said sounding a little worried.
"Be patient my friend. I promise you we will find her if she is here" I told him through our link.
He looked at me giving me a small smile. We entered the pack house and we both quickly quickly scanned the room to see if there might be some kind of threat. We carried on until we stood out side his office. The pup went inside and after a few minutes he came back motioning us to go inside. We stepped into the office and Caine was standing behind his desk. He looked very nervous but was trying to hide it. In the room there was another person whom I remember as his Beta Lucas. Liam stiffened by my side when his eyes landed on Caine .
"Alpha Marcus how are you? It's been a long time. What brings you here in our territory all of a sudden?" He asked using his Alpha tone.
I scoffed at that because no other Alpha was as strong as me. He eyes quickly moved to Liam and I swear I saw something flash through his eyes but it was gone before i knew it. "Beta Liam It's been a long time" he spoke to Liam as if everything was normal.
I heard Liam growl but he managed to keep his cool
"Yes Alpha Caine it has been a long time hasn't it?" Liam replied back coldly.
Caine looked at him narrowing his eyes dangerously.
"Alpha Caine It certainly has been a long time and I apologise for coming without informing you " I told him choosing my words carefully.
His eyes darted to me and he raised his eyebrow in question. I looked at him and then moved my eyes towards Lucas who was standing there quietly not moving a muscle. I knew the reason why, after all he was the who informed us about Anya. I looked at Caine straight into his eyes and said
"You see I had to come urgently. I had some interesting news and I came here to see if it is true"
He looked towards Lucas immediately as if asking him what we were talking about but Lucas stood there with a blank look on his face. Caine looked between me and Liam trying to search our faces for any information or clue about what we were talking about.
"What news?" he said anxiously
I chuckled and with a dark voice I said
"I believe you have something that belongs to us and we want it back" My wolf pushed through.
The colour on his face drained away slowly.
