As I wondered myself about her, I fell asleep and had a dream. In my dream, my childhood was shown. Then there was a girl who always appeared in my dream. But her face was not shown. Then after some time, her face appeared. And I was very shocked. But after some time, the face was shown. It was really beautiful. The girl in my dreams had long hair, sharp nose, and her eyes were very black.
It was almost six o'clock so I prepared immediately. I prepared myself. I rode to my car nervously. I don't know why.
After a while, I arrived at the café. I smelled the coffee from the outside. Its aroma was really delicious. I went inside and sat. There I saw a girl that looked exactly like the one in my dreams. I approached her and asked her if she is Penelope. I don't know why I asked her but who knows?
"Are you Penelope Adams?" I asked. Then she turned her face. She was really beautiful. I was astonished and at that moment, the memories of my childhood went back to me. Then I remembered all especially the part of Penelope's. I knew it. My questions were annswered. She was the girl I always thought of, the one who is in my dreams, and the one whom I loved so much before.
Then I think, something was not right about her. Because she stared at me. And I felt my heart jumped. Then somehow, I felt hers, too.
"Oh. S-Sorry. Yes," she replied. Then she turned her face down. "Are you Clark Sinclair?"
"Yes," I said and I felt shy for a moment.
"Join me here. Please sit."
"Thanks." But we didn't spoke for a while. I felt she was irritated by me. But she fought it.
"So, what are we going to plan?" Then we started our talk. We planned it until the café almost closed. We also shared some laughs and others.
"Oh. It's almost ten," She said as she drank her coffee. "I think we've finished the plan, already. What do you think?"
"Yeah, I think so, too. So what are you going to do?"
"Me? I want to relax."
"Relax?" I said. That moment, I thought that it was the best time to tell her the truth. "Do you play chess?"
"Chess? Yes." Then we started the game.
"You know, you remind me of my girlfriend before." I said. I wanted to start telling her.
"Girlfriend? Why?"
"She was also a good player like you. Actually, we met at a chess competition," I started as I stared at her. "We were lovers but her father told me we were twins." Then she lifted her head to me. Her eyes almost cried. "Checkmate!" I said.
"Aw man! I was checkmate!" she exclaimed. Then we laughed. He looked at me and held my hand. "I'm sorry. My father didn't like you for me before that's why he told a lie."
"Lie? Do you remember now?"
"I didn't forget."
"B-But I thought-"
"Hush, Clarkie. It's over now. What's important is we are with each other again."
We stared at each other's eyes. I held her hand and she held mine. Together, we reminisced our memories - memories that we thought were lost forever. This time, I knew we love each other, so much.
