It has been a whole week since Mia and Justin didn't come to school. I felt completely lonely but it was okay. After all, it was my fault that I was such an introvert. Mom told me to stay away from her for some time but I just couldn't. She was my best friend after all.
When I reached home, mum was already at the door. She didn't speak anything but I could make out from her eyes that she had to tell me something. I was about to ask her if she wanted to tell me something when I saw a little girl running towards me. She was about six years old, wearing a pink frock. She looked at me cutely and said "Hi sister!" Mom looked at me and said, "I hope you don't have any problem but we adopted this girl. Her name is Lucie. We were passing by an orphanage home and someone called us inside. He said that no one adopts her because everyone says that she is a psycho. When we saw her, she was in total depression so we thought to adopt her." I looked at her and smiled. "Hello little sis!" I said to her. She looked to her right side and swung her hand in the air as if she held someone's hand in the air. She said, "This is Lauren! She's my best friend. Won't you welcome her?"
I was confused for a second but realized that some children have Imaginary friends. So, trying not to make her feel bad, I smiled and said "Hi Lauren!" but obviously as I thought, no response came in return.
Mom told that she arrived just five minutes ago and she didn't check out our home so mom asked me to give her a tour to our new home. I was about to take her on a tour but she stopped. "I'm really hungry!" said she. I looked at her cuteness and said, "How about sandwiches??"
"Well! that would work! Lauren loves them too."
I went into the kitchen gathering up all the ingredients, ready to make some awesome sandwiches! I really making sandwiches. They don't take much time to make. I made about fifteen sandwiches for me, Jason and Lucie. When I went outside, I saw only Lucie sitting there. Jason might have gone to his friend's house because he told me that he would. Well, It's his bad that he would miss these yummy sandwiches! I told Lucie that she could start eating and then I headed upstairs to take my mobile. When I came back downstairs, I was astonished! She ate all the sandwiches! Was she that hungry?
"How did you eat all the sandwiches so fast?"
"No, you see. I wasn't the only one eating them. Lauren ate them with me."
This "Lauren" thing was getting on my nerves already. I mean she's just an imaginary friend but still. I asked Lucie if I could meet Lauren but she said that Lauren would talk to me once she thinks that she's comfortable even if when i'm around. "After all, she doesn't talk to many people." added Lucie. I smiled and went back to my room. I was checking my call log when I saw that Aunt called me pretty many times. I called her right away!
