Lauren is always trying to make her feel better, but nothing changes. She is still the same. I asked Lauren but she told me that she didn't. She also told that when Rebecca was controlling Lucie's mind, she used the diary a lot and that's why Lucie remembers whatever Rebecca knows about the diary. I wanted to find out what was waiting for us in the future and how we could change it but I had no option. I had to wait. So I went to ask some questions to Lauren.
"How does Rebecca even know what's going to happen to us?"
"She used to see dreams."
"Everyone sees dreams.."
"Well, her dreams weren't the normal ones. She could see the dreams which would turn into reality someday. But the thing was, she always used to see people die in her dreams. And she was the one committing the crimes. She used to note everything down in her diary. Once, she saw someone telling her to do what she saw in her dreams and so it became necessary for her to do what she saw."
"Why would she do what that person said?"
"Because it was her own mother."
Now I knew why she was so determined on killing us. But why would her mother want her to kill someone? I looked at Lucie's condition. I felt so helpless. I was thinking about what to do when Devan called. I picked up the call and told him everything. He said that even he couldn't understand why her mom wanted her to kill so many people. As soon as I was about to end the call, just as I said "Bye Devan!", Lucie shouted.
"Never say that name! I hate Devan!!"
I said sorry to Devan for the rude behavior of Lucie and ended the call. I told Lucie that it's a common name and the Devan she hates could be someone else.
"I am talking about your friend. The one with hazel eyes."
I was confused. Totally confused. Why would she hate such a nice person?
"Why do you hate him?"
She didn't answer. She looked at someone behind me but when I turned around, no one was there. I turned back to face Lucie but she was gone. I was scared to think about what happened to her. I just hoped that she was alright. I knew that she could've been in the attic so I sprinted towards the attic straight away, hoping that she was alright. She was. I saw her open a huge trunk and inside it, lay a diary. Lucie handed it to me and ran back towards the room. When I went back to her room, I saw her, talking to herself again. She looked at me and smiled. And that's when I got to know that she was alright and was acting all this time. I was really happy to see the normal her again and smiled back.
