Chapter Five

"THANK YOU for accompanying me while buying my clothes, Takeshi."

She smiled to the guy she's walking side by side while they are in a mall. She plans to buy new clothes because she'll be leaving Japan tomorrow. And she will definitely miss this country. But she can't stay here forever because her business needs her and most importantly, she want to forget about Shori quickly. And she can't do the move-on thingy when she knew that she's breathing the same air and she's living in a same place as Shori.

"It's okay. I'm actually glad that we met. It's been years since the last I saw you."

She smiled at her former suitor back when they are still in middle school. Takeshi has been very patient with her before and she really questioned herself on why didn't she gave this guy a chance before.

"Yeah. Me too. A reunion with a classmate like this really feels good. Fortunately, we see each other before I leave Japan."

"Eh? You will going to leave Japan?" Takeshi asked, full of confusion in his eyes.

She nods as a reply. "Wait a minute. Where are you planning to go now? I'm done with shopping."

Takeshi looks at her and she can through his eyes that he wants to spend more time with her. Well, he has a lot of spare time because she already settled her baggage before her shopping spree.

"I am planning to go to an ice cream shop. I've been craving sweets for a while now."

She noticed that Takeshi smiled on what she said. "That's great! I know someone who makes a very nice ice cream here. Come on."

"Okay. Let's go."

Takeshi leads the way and she's going to follow Takeshi's way when she suddenly felt that someone is looking at her. She looked around the establishment and she doesn't find any familiar face. Maybe, that was just her feelings playing tricks with her.

"Come on, Ari-chan." Takeshi called out to her.

"Hm!" she nods at Takeshi and take one last glance at the place before following Takeshi.

Weird. I really felt that someone is looking at me. She said to her mind but after a while, she just shrugged it off.

It has been three months after that confession she made to Shori and she doesn't have any idea on how he is doing right now. After he walked-out after her confession, he didn't say or even replied to her anymore. She even doesn't see his face after the confession and that made her feels hopeless because it just means that he is not interested in her or having a care about her feelings.

Shori even stopped calling her and no more tease for her from him. She didn't expect that it was so sudden that a confession like that can end their friendship just like. She can't help but to feel worthless after Shori denied her feelings. Well, he actually didn't told her that he doesn't like her but it is now clear to her because if her truly loves her, he should be said it to her after a few days but months have passed and he still didn't contacted her.

Maybe this is his way in rejecting her. After all, Shori might think that this is a way to reject her and not feeling guilty or hurt. But that's what he thinks, because the more the days passed, the more she's feeling the pain. Even Marius stopped contacting here and everything about Shori stopped haunting her except for her feelings to him.
