Chapter 4

Amy

         My day goes like that.I spent my whole day chatting with my friends about the party,our childhood stories.We seven have a bond of friendship for past three years of high school.We worked together,ate together,danced together,partied together,etc. My world was around them. The bell goes we pick our bags from the corner were we left it in the morning. We didn't open it the whole day. The sky have worn out its brightness. It is five now.We walk towards the exit door.

We go in groups and divide to boys and girls . Girls first followed by them. We reached the parking in no time. "Ok guys,Bye"Adam's voice arose behind us, we turned to him and "Girls! .See you at the party . We'll meet at nine in my home".Jerry and Adam left together,they were neighbors and they have a bond similar to me and Smity .
"Ok,guys see you .Bye"Erica shook her hands in air joining with Jesica and me.Smity caught herself busy with her phone. She was moving in front of us .It was Kevin , Erica and Jesica's turn. They went together to the cycle stand, I see their images fading over from a distance they rode their cycle together. Kevin also left with his high sounded bike.

             Now only I and Smity are left alone .I hold my hands in my waist waiting for her . Everyone went home ,morning my father dropped me . I have to call him now to pick me up. I pick my phone from my right jean pocket and dial to my father but he didn't attend my call. I rang up again and it is the same."Oh,dad pick up"I was murmuring and rocking in my heal , again a cut.

           "Trying for your father"Smity turned to me"Yeah,but he didn't  pick up",I replied with my fingers stuck to my phone keys , "Ok, if your father didn't come up ,you come to my home . W'll attend the party together and I'll drop you back home",she gave me an offer.I held my phone to my ears chewing my lips and starring at her . The ringer tone have gone and I start "Hello,dad..."before that, it was not my father from that side"Hello , I'm Rnox Karter,please leave me a voice message".I stare at her and I see a smile on her she should have understood it that was not him on line."I'm Amy here , I'll will go to Smity's house and I'm going to Adam's home for my graduation party . I may come home late,bye.""Time to go ",I give a smile to her," Rock the party", we exchange smiles . We move together holding our hands .  

             Her driver was waiting with her car to pick us up, he was short and dark ,I knew him very well . He is her driver from her childhood that I could recognise. He calls her 'papa' which means baby in other language. As he walk there he opens the door for us and "Papa , today Amy is also coming with us?"he asked.We often travel together home so it was not special, today."Hmm,yes but not to her home , to our's ,today she will be coming to our home and with me to the party"she said as she was getting in . "Oh ,enjoy"he said and got our bags and left it over the dickey seat. We start our way home. We usually don't be quiet while travelling together. "We will play truth?"

"Ok , you start ".I turn to her . It was a small game like one should ask some weird, funny questions and the one should answer a bare truth."Ok, fine . hmmm" she paused ,she thought for a minute " It is like , your crush Roy is coming to you and saying I hate you I don't want to see you ever in that sense what will you do?"she was furious to know what was the answer , she was having her snack puffs in her hand and a tissue in one hand.

"First of all who is that Roy?"I pause "You mean Zen Roy"

"hm!".She said ."Hey , He is not my crush ,Ok"."I know he is."she said with a gulp.Yeah I liked him but I didn't have a crush."answer me ,it is just a game".

"Fine , I would break down into pieces and jump from a cliff"

"Oh,really",she winked at me and continued her snack.

"It's my turn"

"Carry on " she said. I start "Kevin calls you for a party ,on the same day I ask you to join with me for shopping, what will you do?"her cheeks turn rose , she stops her snack and" I'll join you" . "Liar" I said ,before she could start her driver Sean"Papa, always gives importance to her friends" . We both smile at each other "We have arrived our destination",he said.

         We pick our bags and step out"Hello ,Stella aunty. How are you ?" I asked as I stepped in. ."I'm fine Amy .Smity called to me that you are coming .Come in I've made snacks for you come in "."Thank you, aunty".She went in ,I and Smity was following her.I whispered to her "When did you tell my arrival to your mother ?!"."Before you could tell your father" she smiled at me .She knew that it would happen.

                She pulled me to her room . I occupied my favourite spot near the window there was a top to floor sized mirror ,taller than me , she opened her wardrobe filled with prom dress and party wear . I have seen her in some those dresses.She pulled out some dresses from the hanger and tossed it to me . Some dress ,do fit me but some were small .She tossed me a white maxi gown with radium green border "How will this be ?"she asked ."Hmm, but you have already worn this  for our friend's house warming ceremony, remember I wore white and black."I said .She turned again and pulled another gown white and blue"this one"."You wore that two years back to our college ,for students day remember".

           "Hoooo, this one" she turned with a purple frock that would be up to her knee it was too good for her skin tone "Cool"."Ok, know it is your turn".She turned back again and pulled some pieces out , I took some of them and examined it will be either loose or short.I sat back and looked around her room , it was purple colour books in one corner a 42' inches T.V , a bean sofa. "Look , this one will be perfect  for you". She pulled out a grey with white stones embedded below my knees and a square neck with net covering it with full sleave.It was a perfect dress for the party"Hey , nice .Wow" I get them in my hands and"Its amazing,I love it ,thank you"."Yeah, and the main purpose is for hiding your bandages",she said."Thanks",I pull up the dress it will be covering my wounds it was perfect.

"Snacky time ",her mother entered ."Smity , your father told he will pick you up tonight "

"Ok,mom"she said and she passed me some cookies.

"Ok,it is seven now ,we should start dressing up"I said.

"Yes, we will but I only will put make up for you"

"Fine, then I'll do your hair " I said. "Ok"

                 We start, we dress up in our respective clothing.I gulp my cookies ."Stop chewing , I have to put lipstick for you" she gushed on me , we started to smile. She completed her makeover for me and then for her . I had grey eye shadows, thick eyeliner and rose lipstick I was perfect.She was with her purple eye shadows and others similar to me. I start her hair with some knots leaving some hair in front I complete her's in few minutes and start mine ."You guys , look adorable" her mother came in . By the time I also completed mine.We two stand in front of the huge mirror and posing to Lauren aunty, who was taking us some pics . "Car is ready , you'll have to start, now to reach there on time" she said as she was passing me my phone . 

"Ok, mom bye",Smity waving her hands to her.

"Bye , aunty".We both stepped into the car and we start to Adam's house.
Heading to the party.
