Chapter 5

AMY

     We reach Adam's home around eight fourty five. We get down together through either sides of the car."Ok ,driver mom told my father will come to pick me up".Smity said the driver. " Ok, papa", the car crossed dividing us .We both are standing infront of the house bright with party lights beaming outside it.I see some people standing in the yard and having their drinks in their hand." I haven't talked to them before . Is Adam talking to them?"I ask Smity as we walk through the lawn."He said , he invited the whole class ,everyone ",she said.

It is cold outside ,since I was in sleeve it was warm for me but my legs are still cold ."I guess we should go in fast before I could freeze"she started to shiver."Ok, before that we have to search for our friends. None of our friends are visible to me", I sling my hands around her shoulders.

              "Amyyyy,Smityyy"Adam came running towards  us two hands clutching his sholders came Jerry. Adam wore an yellow shirt with blue buttons in it , it made him look pretty. Jerry was in his black buttoned shirt with a thin white tie over it."Hey",I stepped forward. We give a small hug alternatively."Where are the others?"Smity asked."No,only we have come",Jerry answered her.She felt as if she was missing something. I guess I know who it was.We enter the house together it was filled with beautifully dressed girls and boys surrounded. It was filled with DJ rocking the floor. I turn to Smity and whispered"Am I looking good among them?",I raise my eyebrows to her."Why are these girls always worrying about it . You look so prettiest of all " Jerry turned to me with a cute smile. My cheeks turn rose to red.

         The hall is  big  enough to give privacy for people in pairs. As soon as we enter the hall way we can see a huge portrait of Adam and his parents . He was the only child for his parents. There were two couch on the either sides of the door. There were cocktail tables with linen and a bow with decorated sweets. We walk in glass staircase up to the first floor . It had a small hall occupied with one swimming pool at the balcony . "You guys be here, I'll lead the others here when they come."Adam asked us to stay there giving a glass with red wine." Where are your parents?" I ask him. My father haven't returned from office and my mother will be in kitchen I think so".He said.

"Hi, guys"Jesica and Erica's voice came from behind.

"Hey , when did you'll come?"we turn to them.
               Erica  was in her enchanted red crochet and Jesica in her white frock with some blue embroidery patterns. "Few minutes back we saw you'll climbing up and we followed "Erica said . Jerry stepped forward to Jesica and holed her fingers in his hands" You look so beautiful  in this dress!". They had a closed I lock and looked as if they got freazed. I intervened and" Hey , you said that to me!"every body started to laugh. Jesica hid her face with her right palm and Jerry went rubbing his forehead joining Adam.

                We all turned to the balcony seeing the shades of colour from that pool. Everybody had some smile in their face but something was lacking in Smity . "Hey ,what happened? Are you ,Ok?" I tap her elbow with mine." Nothing!",she turned and asked Adam,"Everyone have come!".He replied "Are you expecting some one ?" and he continued his busy conversation with other boys in a gang.She started to shrug again and stood near me holding her hands closed to stop from shivering .I guess I know the reason for it.

"How is it now?" it was a male voice coming from behind.I guess I knew that voice. I turn to see who it was but Erica and Jesica were busy in their conversation.It was Kevin he was in his royal blue shirt. He vailed his velvet jacket around her shoulders wrapping her from cold.He was the one who Smity was searching for.I see a smile in her face after a long time of we standing here with me. She got that smile after seeing him. "Yeah ,thank you",she started to blush . I lean on the corrider looking at them with my folded arms. It is seamed that they forgot where they were standing.They didn't talk for some time, I guess they were talking through their eyes.There was a pleased smile in Smity's face, it was like she was flying in the air with some sweet romantic background music. I see, Adam coming forward to greet Kevin and welcome him for a purpose. I didn't know what the purpose was but I didn't want to disturb them I pull him to my side."Wow"Adam gave an amusing reaction and whispered to me "I have something for them". I ask "What is that?"

"Wait and see?"

He went straight to the DJ and got his mike it started to give a squeaky sound and he broke the silence making others to turn back. Smity and Kevin came out with a jerk."All girls and boys ,we are having a small prom dance and any one can step in pairs, come up guys it is our time"..I understood what the plan was. The rocking tone changed to a sweet melody , flashing colours started to beam in one colour ,in blue and many started to pair up . Adam pulled Jerry and Jesica to the centre and waved his hands to me.I pulled Smity and Kevin, first Smity tried to set back but Kevin asked her to give a try.Kevin carried her on his toes and twisted her very gracefully. All danced uniformly ,boys holding girls in their hands . It looked like awesome. I captured some moments.

Jesica had a pair , Smity had a pair but I don't am I getting jealous.How can I get jealous on my own friends! . I should find Erica for my company but I can't find her.She should have also got one. I sit alone on the coach and see all dancing. I pull out my phone and start scrolling the pictures .Smity's pictures were not clear they were shaky but Jesica's picture have come out very well.A pale hand with open palm is stretched to me , I look up , it was Adam"Shall we?".I leave my juice glass and my phone over the table and I stretch my covered right hand and he carries smoothly that it wont hurt me."Sure",I say."I was simply standing and I saw you feeling lonely, I thought I could give company for you",he whispers to me as we move together on my heels.I just shook my head and continue in waves.He took me very gently so that it won't hurt my wounds. We all start to dance in a chorus line .First we dance in pairs then in .It was an amazing party.
