Chapter 8

Amy

                 My feet felt too warm under the sunshine piercing through the window. I get down from my bed and I search for my phone, then I remember that I left them in Adam's house last night. I slip inside my slippers and I walk towards my desk with the set of papers left over. I pick them, they were those forms from my father.It was my dream, I and Smity would have talked about it from our small age I sigh and left them on the table , I think about the previous day . As my brother said I have to give a final try , this will be the final one .I choose my dress from the hanger ,a frock. It is a sleeveless  white with blue embroidery."This will be perfect",I mutter to myself.

                    I hang them on the slide bar . I look at myself on the mirror with those bandages and wraps."I have to get rid of this soon",I sigh and step into the cold floor. I strip out myself.I on my shower ,the droplets bouncing on the ground sounds like a rain washout inside the room.I leave my hand first, then myself in. I wash myself fast and pick my towel I have to urge today , My last chance is waiting outside. I wear my frock it is an inch below my knees ,my lip gloss, watch and a final brush to my hair. I stand in front of the mirror.My wounds seem to be fading away . It looked odd for my dress. I close my eyes tight and tried to peel out those bandages . First two were easy to go but the final one was a bit darker than others but somewhat easy to manage. I pull my brown shrug around me .

                 Today also late , as my brother told to take it positively, it is my last chance to talk to my father about it.  Since my right hand is tied up he will be dropping me today also. I stand in front of the mirror ' I should be stubborn now' . I come out and lock my room . I see the shadows of a the window bars on the wooden floor I step on each horizontal shadows as I walk to the dine. I do that to relax myself mostly during my exam hours . I count 'one,two,three' then I see an opposite foot steps . I look up it was Frinic , "Hey ,good morning " I keep my small smile in my face . "Morning" he had his tie hanging around his neck , his cuffs unbuttoned for his formals and with an uncombed hair.

"Remember, what I said!"

"Yeah"

"All the best!" He shook his head and went to his room . I walk straight to the dine , the curtains were still closed. I pull them apart making the shine enter in. "Good morning", I hear a sudden voice from behind. I panic "Uff , Dad you scared me " , I bend and pat my chest . "Here , your sandwiches " it was already served. I sit on the chair dragging it , making a squeaky sound and pulling it back. I see his face making an annoyed reaction . But I am already annoyed by him. He sits opposite to me and had his sandwich. It is quite around us , I see my brother behind him near the door, he shook his head from afar . I see that my father doesn't notice me and shake mine back. It means that I have to talk to him about it.

        I leave a half piece on the plate and "hmm" I try to start but before that he completed his , and got up from my sight "Want something " his voice was so polite , "Nope ... Nothing " I just ignore and finish my breakfast. I leave my plate and on the dish washer and pick my bag from the couch. I see my shoes and Smity's left together I borrowed from her yesterday. I wear mine and step out . He locked the door and "Shall we go". "Yep" I direct him first , I follow him. He got unto the car , the gears went back .

"I am going to park avenue so I may come late today"

"Ok so!!!"

"So,be safe "

"Safe!!! I am going to get graduated tomorrow, don't be treating me as a kid " He always does this to me ,he guides me when I don't need and leave me when I need. I got angry, I guess this to be the correct time for me to ask him." Dad I finally ask you will you come to my graduation day or not" I stare at him as though I'll burn him into ashes. He softened his voice and " Listen , I'm sorry , I can understand it, but please try to understand I am in an important mission to be completed. Please." My cheeks get rose to red shade .

" Ok , then you are not coming?"

"Sorry"

"Stop the car ", I whispered ,he was continuously driving it finally I shouted " Stop the car , now ". He stopped and " Amy!" I got down and banged the door I just walked away but I returned to him"So you will not come , Go anywhere you want , anywhere but if you didn't come for my graduation day , never talk to me or never fall in my face" I show him my full anger and turned away before he could tell something.

I swallow my cry and try to show my anger to him . I guess this will make him come . Crossing one street I arrive my school. I am one my usual time . I see all my friends group standing near a tree , I just walk towards them and joined them."Hey how is your hand ? "Smity asked first. " Fine". Adam passed me my phone . I on them but the battery is nearly dead only three percentage to go. "Jerry , give me your power bank " I have to charge them before I could receive any important calls. Jerry gave his power bank. As soon as I plug in I hear the bell ringing . It is my brother he doesn't call me often . I attend them as it is plugged." Hello, Nic I'm running out of battery whatever it is tell it fast". I urge him.

" What happened? Father accepted?".

"No,he didn't we both got into big fight I came to school by walk".

"Hmm,why is he doing like this! Ok where is he now?"

"He said, he was going to park avenue" before I could complete the call has gone. The battery is completely dead I didn't on the power bank. Then i on them and left it on a table near us. "You came to school by walk! From where?" Jesica asked me she should have heard me talking." Yes , but not from my home from the previous street." Then we all chat about our previous day practice. Only two minutes for bell . I switch on my phone it holded about fifteen percent charge.We walk to our class together . My phone rang , I picked it
