A/N: So this story is based on a zombie apocalypse. The inspiration of it comes from The Walking Dead but it's not the same story line. So, here it is, hope you enjoy it!:)
Kellin's POV:
This isn't even a world anymore, it's just hell. Hell all around. I can't even remember the last time I texted, or laughed, or hung out with my friends. Not that I would want to now, they're dead. If you haven't guessed already, I'm living in a world of zombies. I never thought it would happen. Every time someone would talk about zombies or a zombie apocalypse I would just laugh and say things like "Yeah, right." or "That's never going to happen." But it did, and somehow I survived it. I still remember having a normal life. Going to school, going to parties, doing homework, waking up in a bed every morning and walking downstairs to eat breakfast. Those were good times...but then an infection started. I still remember the moment of terror, I was 17 when it happened....
FLASHBACK:
I walked downstairs and saw my parents sitting on the couch, both looking nervous. They were watching the news. I sat down next to them and they both turned to me.
"Hey, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing." my dad said quickly after I asked.
"Well, what are you watching?" I asked.
"Just the news." my mom said. I turned to the TV and saw a man and a woman talking. Below them were the words 'Outbreak of disease.'
"What is the outbreak of disease?" I asked.
"We don't know, we are trying to find out." my dad said. I got bored and got up and walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and scanned it for any good food. I found a half eaten sandwich that I had yesterday so I decided to take that. As I was eating I heard my phone ringing in my pocket. I took it out and saw my friend Justin's contact on the screen. I pressed answer and put the phone to my ear.
"Hey man, what's up?" I asked.
"Hey, did you hear about this shit, man? It's all over the news." he said.
"What is? That thing about the disease?" I asked, taking another bite out of my sandwich.
"Yeah, people are becoming mutated and some people are dying. But the weird thing is, is that they have died but came back to life, and people have had to like cut off their heads and stuff." he said.
"That's bullshit, I doubt that they came back to life after they died." I said.
"No, I'm serious, turn on the TV, it's literally on all the channels." he said.
"My parents are watching it now." I said.
"Well watch it and call me back so I can tell you I'm right." he said.
"Okay, whatever." I said. I hung up the phone and walked into the living room. My parents looked up at me.
"Kellin, you shouldn't watch this." my mom said.
"Justin just told me that something was going on, is that true?" I asked. They both paused but then my mom spoke.
"Yes, but you don't need to see it." she said. I ignored her and looked at the TV. I listened to what they were saying. They were showing pictures of the mutated people and bloody people with skin peeled off of them, walking around. "Scientists say that they haven't been able to figure out where this disease came from, or whether there is a cure for it." the news reporter on the TV said. I started getting a little scared about this idea. I took out my phone and called Justin once again.
"Hey, so have I proved you wrong?" he asked when he answered the phone.
"Yeah, but I don't even get what they are. Like zombies or something?" I asked.
