I walk out of the room and down the hall.
As I walk past I see Tao has been blindfolded, and Sehun is sitting quietly in his chair with his head down. As I walk past Kai's cell, however, he's just as talkative as usual.
"Hey Doc, miss me already?"
I ignore him and keep walking, which is when he starts screaming, "Don't ignore me you fucking bitch!"
I walk faster and when I get to the door I alert the guards. Once I'm out the room, they move in to deal with Kai. Instead of standing around watching, I decide it would be a better idea to go talk to the director.
When I get to his office, I knock on the door and stand outside until I here a "Come in."
The director is seated at his desk with an open laptop next to him.
"Ah, Dr Chapman, have a seat." He motions to a chair in front of his desk.
I sit down and he adds, "I see Patient #38 got out of hand after your session."
"It's nothing I can't handle, sir." I assure.
"It still shouldn't happen. Make sure you remember who you're dealing with."
"Of course, sir."
"Excellent, now I'll get right into it. You did well with the first patients today. I was honestly surprised that you got the upper hand with Patient #94, and you handled #34's antics well. #42 didn't seem to be a problem for you either. Which leads to my next point."
I shift anxiously in my seat and wait for what he's going to say.
"It has been decided that you'll work with more of the patients today, instead of just those three."
I lean back in my chair and think about what has been said for a moment. Won't the other patients be affected by Kai's outburst this morning?
"Dr Chapman?" I'm brought back to reality by the director's voice. "Is there a problem?"
"Not at all, sir." I try to make myself sound confident.
"Excellent, go review the files then. Just let the guards know when you're ready and they'll handle it."
"Thank you, sir." I say, getting up from my chair and leaving the room.
As I walk back to my office I think about how things will go with the other patients. Will they be aggressive like Sehun? Or sexual like Kai?
Thoughts continue to rush through my head as I enter my office and pick up the next pile of files.
