Vera's pov
I parked my car in the parking lot before hopping out and grabbing my things. I removed my sunglasses and passed them in my car before locking it and walking towards where I usually stood in the mornings.
"Vera! You're here, oh god I was worried." Ryder said before hugging the life out of me.
"Ryder I told you I was having breakfast." I said while laughing and messing up his hair.
"Oh yeah, hehe I forgot about that." Ryder said before letting me go.
"So how has everyone been, I didn't really see anyone over the break" I said while sitting down on the bench while the others crowded around me.
"Well you would've seen us if you bothered to come to our parties." Greg one of the lacrosse players said.
"Oh come on Greg everyone knows Vera does her own thing during the breaks." Luke a football player said.
"So anyway, how were the parties?" I asked while propping my chin onto my hands.
"The parties were okay, you didn't show up so Ryder and Ethan didn't show up, which caused Ollie to ditch as well. Some of the other lacrosse players didn't even show." Hannah a cheerleader said.
"Will you be coming to any of the parties during winter break?" Luke asked while tossing his football around with himself.
"No sorry guys, I'm gonna be in Venice." I said while smiling, oh what a wonderful break if would be. I loved Italy and being able to visit again would be awesome.
"Oh that's too bad, I was gonna throw a Christmas party," Luke said solemnly.
I pulled out my phone and checked the time before standing up from my spot at the table. "Where are you going?" Luke asked while pausing his football tossing.
"Yeah where are you going?" A snobby voice came from behind Luke. Once the voice was heard Luke stepped aside. I internally cringed when I saw the person was Brittney.
"Oh I'm gonna go meet up with Mason." I said while looking straight at Luke.
"And I don't see how me leaving concerns you," I said in a monotone voice with my face void of emotions.
"OMG I'll come with you, I haven't seen Mason in forever!" Brittney squealed while jumping up which caused her slutty skirt to flash everyone who was watching.
"On second thought I'll just go to class." I said while averting my gaze. "Come on Ryder." I said before grabbing his hand and pulling him along with me.
Once we got inside the school we stopped by at my locker then his. As soon as we got to Ryder's locker I stopped. "Ryder what the hell happened to your locker?" I asked while starring at it. The entire thing had trash stuck to it.
