TWO

The Next Day

I was sat at the bottom of the stairs waiting for Ashlee. I was in deep thought thinking about London. It shouldn't be that bad right? It's just a different environment but I would get used to it.

"Okay I'm ready let's go" Ashlee says running down the stairs. I stand up from my previous position and grab my backpack. "BYE MOM" I shout as I slam the front door shut.

Me and Ashlee walk towards our current school. "Are we telling them today" Ashlee asks referring to our friends at our school. "It would be the best thing for them to know sooner than later" I say sadly, softly kicking rocks in my path. "Yeah, hopefully they don't take it badly" she replied and I just nod.

"Well here we are" I joke as we approach the school. "Joyce, Ashlee!" We hear a voice and we both spin around seeing Heisol running towards us. I smile a huge smile hugging Heisol tightly.

"What's up with you, you hugged me like it's the end of the world" Heisol said laughing. I had a sudden urge to let out some tears but I fought against them. "Oh no I just been thinking how much I appreciate all of my friends" I said casually smiling.

"Well let's go it's almost time" Heisol said dragging us towards the schools doors. Me and Ashlee laugh as we enter get to our lockers. "I will see you at lunch okay bye" Ashlee says rushing off to her locker.

I open my locker and throw all my stuff in and grab the things I needed. "Yo Joyce what's up" I hear Jenny's voice say.

Jenny and Diamond were both walking towards me and I smile. I run to both of them and pull them into a hug. "Woah what's going on with you and Ashlee, we just came from over there and she jumped on us" Diamond laughed and I chuckled.

"At lunch can you gather everyone up, me and Ashlee need to tell you guys something" I say nervously and they both nod with concern. "Well I will see you girls later bye" i walk towards my first class.

Lunch

I walk into the cafeteria looking around for everyone. "Joyce over here" I heard Diamonds voice call me over to a table full of all my close friends. I smile widely walking towards everyone. I separately give everyone a big hug before sitting down.

"So what's the news" Jenny urged and I take a deep breath. "Firstly I wanna say how much I love you all and pleas don't freak out" my voice cracking halfway through the sentence. Everyone nodded. "My mom got a job in London" everyone cheered "That's great I'm so proud of your mom Joyce" Heisol said clapping.

My eyes begin to water silencing everyone. "Joyce's mom got a job in London, which means. We are moving to London with her, we leave in two weeks" Ashlee says knowing I couldn't speak anymore.

It was silent. An uncomfortable silence. "Well none of us will hold you guys back. We all love you and we will miss you" Jenny calmly says before we all break down in tears. The lunch bell rings and we all stand up quickly forming a group hug.

Once we pull apart everyone calms down slightly. "We are happy for you two. Just don't forget us" Diamond says hugging me once more.

We all part ways going to our classes. Sadly I had no classes with any of them so I was in class dreading the thought of moving.

Me and Ashlee are currently walking back home in silence. "They took it better than I expected" I said laughing weakly. "Yeah at least none of them shouted something" Ashlee joked and I burst out laughing.

I threw my arm around Ashlee's shoulders. "We can make it in London. I'm sure of that" I say hugging Ashlee from the side. She nods. "Joyce and Ashlee. The unstoppable team" Ashlee says holding her fist out which I bump it.

"MA WE'RE HOME" I yell throwing my shoes off. "How did you friends take the news" she said sympathetically. "Better than we thought. They told us they won't hold us back and they are happy for us" Ashlee explained earning a nod and smile from my mom.

"I will see you at dinner" I said running upstairs. "I feel more excited about London knowing our friends are okay with us leaving" Ashlee said smiling. I nodded and flopped on my bed tired.

"Wake me up when dinner is ready" I say sleepily laying on my side. "Okay then" Ashlee says and I drift of my mind full of scenarios that could possibly happen in London.
