Rory and Ariana

Rory woke up with a splitting headache. Swearing profusely under his breath, he sat up carefully, rubbing his eyes. After he had propped himself on his elbow, he took in his surroundings. He wasn't hooked up to any kind of machine, thank God. He was in what seemed to be in a normal bedroom with a huge window overlooking the skyline of Seattle. His head was killing him, so he swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood. Walking around the room, rummaging in drawers as he went, he sighed. Rory sat back down on the bed, his head in his hands. There was a knock on the door.

"It's open," he called. The door opened and in walked Ariana, with a small glass of water and a tiny plastic bottle.

"How's your head?" she asked.

"Hurts," he sighed, looking up at her, "have you got-"

"Yeah. Here," she replied, tossing him the plastic bottle. He caught it with his left hand, and he grinned at her. Ariana sat beside him, handing him the glass of water.

After taking the medicine, Rory set the glass of water on the nightstand. He smiled at Ariana and kissed her cheek. "Thanks, love," he said.

Arian smiled in return. "You're welcome,"

"Where are the others?" Rory asked.

"Uh.. I was just with Felix down the hall, Keith and Katie are across from him and I think Lindsey is with Felix now," Ariana said, scratching the back of her head.

"Anyone else sleeping? From the looks of that, I'd say it's late," he said, nodding toward the window.

"I think so too. Got a clock anywhere?" Ariana asked, standing up.

"Check the bathroom. If there is one," Rory sighed, laying back down. Ariana came back a minute or so later.

"It's midnight," she announced.

"You tired?" he asked. She shrugged. Rory sat up and pulled on her hands, bringing her down on the bed next to him. Ariana made herself comfortable beside him, and he put his arm around her.

"Why'd you faint?" she asked, looking up at him with big eyes.

"No idea. Did I hit my head on something because this headache is not going away," he sighed.

"You hit the ground pretty hard," Ariana said, fighting back a yawn.

"You go to sleep. I'll see you in the morning," he said.

"Okay," Ariana replied in a cute little girl voice, "night."

"Goodnight, beautiful," Rory kissed the top of her head, and shut his eyes.
