Unknown emotion (L x OC)

15:Caution

"Are all death notes the same?" L asks Rem, the shinigami who appeared during the confrontation.

"Yes"

"Well this rule must prove Light's and Misa's innocence right?" Matsuda asks happily, pointing out a rule.

L doesn't answer. The other members of the task force decided to let Misa and Light go. Meaning L and Light were separated and I could talk to L about my thoughts, if he decided to trust me.

"L, may I speak with you for a moment? I have something about the case I need to show you"

I lead him up to my room and take out the notebook. I look at the cameras, noticing they were being used.

Matsuda you idiot. You really think me and L would be doing anything worth watching?

I show L the notepad, he reads over it and shakes it head. "This proves my theory even more"

"What theory?"

"The theory that you are not Kira. Also another theory, which I do not care to share"

"I see, but I hope you keep all this in mind"

"I will" he leaves, and I lay down on my couch wanting some rest. Yeah I know my bed is just a few feet away but my couch was right there. I sleep for a while, until I'm woken up by a rude somebody entering my room.

"Kara, I may die soon"

Wow, he sure likes to get straight to the point.

"I know we're on a team but what does it have to do with me?"

"I want you to continue working on the case along with my predecessor"

"So you really think you are going to die soon. Why can't you have faith that we'll solve the case before that?"

"It is not certain, but a very high percentage rate" I sigh and he continues speaking. "Take care of yourself. Do not allow your name to be figured out, it's the only thing keeping you alive"

"Alright L. But it's gonna be hard if they happen to have the eyes"

"I have faith that you will keep your distance from the owner of the eyes" he leaves, letting me think about the possibilities.

I'm gonna die on this case, so is L. The rest of them, and Light. Kira is going to die, even if it has to be without L. Justice will prevail.

"Kara, can you meet me on the roof?" Light asks calling my room phone.

"Sure"

The roof. One of the only places in this entire building without cameras surveying the room. He's up to something.

I make my way to the roof, finding Light looking over the city. I go next to him and lean my elbows on the railing, careful to make sure I don't fall off the roof, that would make Kira's job too easy.

"I know your onto me" his head was facing forward, hidden from anybody who could be behind us, watching.

"I am. Don't worry, by the time this case is over either me or you will be dead" I take my sunglasses off my face and place them on my head.

"So you know some of the rules are fake?"

"Of course. I may have found the information on the internet but I've decided to believe it"

"Aren't you going to tell the others?"

"No. I will tell them when it plays an important part in the investigation, or when I get enough evidence to finally arrest you"
