Venue: Johto airport

Time: 6 am, the day Gary and Dawn met

POV: Dawn

I placed my new phone into my handbag as I remembered the message I last typed: 'Miette, wait for me, I will get there as soon as I arrive.'

Miette is my childhood friend, she is a very optimistic person, who always have been able to show light to others in trouble. Her kindness is unrivalled as she indulges herself in various community services from entertaining elderly to teaching young children. However, unlucky for her, she was just diagnosed with a brain cancer despite at a young age. And now she is currently undergoing a serious operation. If I do not get there in time, I may miss the last chance of seeing her again.

Upon arrival in Kanto, I quickly rushed to the taxi stand via the priority queue. Due to mismanagement by the supervisor, I ended myself in a taxi that was already occupied. However, I did not care much. My brain was only thinking about the possibilities of Miette's operation outcomes. I told the driver in a hurry, "Sir, Saffon Hospital!" and the vehicle started to move.

The guy to my right questioned me, "Excuse miss, I was in this taxi first,"

I turned my head towards him and he was looking all over me. He must be judging me. I replied, "Sorry sir, I'm in a hurry, I can compensate for any inconveniences caused." as I gave him a serious face.

He sort of accepted my explanation and we started chatting more about my hurry and about Miette and covering a little on his friends whom he named one of them as Ash. Although I gave him my number after arriving at the hospital, I forget to ask for his name. damn it!

Venue: Saffon Hospital

Time: 1.30 pm

POV: Dawn

Lucky, Miette's operation was a huge success. The doctor was able to remove the brain tumour lying in Miette's brain though not completely. Thank god! 

As for myself, I just finish my MBA in Elm University in Johto, the most prestigious school in the world. Afterwards, I plan to join my father's company with one sole motive, to take over his casino business so that he can retire safely. However, this is only my perspective...

Venue: Scott's study room

Time: 8 pm

*knock knock*

"Come in!" Scott said.

His daughter appeared from behind the door. Despite this, he still carried on with his work and casually asked, "What brought you here?"

"Uh.. daddy, here is your soup, very nourishing!" Dawn said nervously, as she placed the bowl of soup on his desk.

"Oh."

Dawn pulled herself together and daringly asked, "Dad, don't you have anything to tell me?"

"No," Scott replied coldly as he carried on his work.

This time, Dawn became impatient and poured out all her thoughts. "Daddy, I would like to join your company!" Dawn said as fast as she could.

Scott wasn't surprised at all. He even expected it and answered calmly, "Well, why do you want to join? And what makes you so special?" as he stopped his work.
