Phil's POV

Good morning Dan,"  I said as I joined him on the couch. Dan scooted over and said "Hi, AmazingPhil" without looking at me. I  stared at him, tilting my head. "Why do you always call me that?" I asked him. This time he actually looked at me."Because you're AmazingPhil, the youtuber everyone loves."

I smiled. " I wouldn't say everyone but thanks. And hey, don't think of me as AmazingPhil, the youtube star. Think of me as Phil, your best friend." Dan's face flushed.

"Ok Ama- I mean, okay Phil." he said.

That afternoon I decided to call up my other friends to see if they wanted to meet up. I told them about Dan and how I couldn't wait for them to meet him. At four I got a text from Zoe saying that they were right outside the house so I looked out of the window and sure enough, Louise's honda was parked in the driveway. I told Dan to get his ass downstairs and we got in Louise's car.

"Dan, meet Louise, Caspar, Joe and Zoella (who I call Zoe) Sugg,they're siblings, and Alfie. Guys, meet Dan."

"Hi!"

"'Sup?"

"How you do?"

"Hey!"

"Louise? I remember you!" Dan said.

"I do too! Oh, it's been so long since we last spoke," Louise sighed.

I looked at Dan. " You two know each other?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.

" Yeah," Louise nodded. We met through a phone app and from there we became friends. We used to talk all the time."

"Well that's good. I was worried you were going to feel out of place, Dan, but it seems like you guys click just fine."

"Well since we've all gotten acquainted, what are we waiting for? " Zoe said. "Paradise awaits!" (by paradise, she means Grosvenor Casino.)

We arrived at Grosvenor finally after 30 minutes of squeezing in Louise's car. Louise and Alfie wanted to go check out the slot machines and Caspar  and Joe were busy getting wasted so it was just Dan, Zoella, and me. I told them I was going to the bathroom and that I would be right back, leaving Dan alone with Zoe.

"So," Zoe said, trying to break the ice. "You're Dan, huh?" She looked Dan up and down and smiled softly. "Phil was right, you are kinda cute." Dan blushed when he heard that. Phil thinks I'm cute? "Uh, thanks?"

"You're welcome. Who was your friend before Phil came along? Besides Louise, I mean. Surely you had some friends before him, right?"

Dan's face fell."Actually I didn't have any real friends before Phil other than Louise. Phil was the only one."

"Oh. That sucks, you must have been lonely."

"Yeah, well I didn't realize it at first but I guess I was."

"Hey guys, what are we talking about?" I said, walking up to them.

"Well-" Zoe started, but before she could say anything else, Dan cut her off.

"Nothing! Nothing, just stuff you will probably find uninteresting."

"Fine, don't tell me. Dan I need to talk to you." I turned to Zoe, who was playing with her hair. "In private."

"Ooh, you want  privacy? Ok, I'll just go stand  over here and NOT listen to your conversation because what kind of potential friend would I be if I did?" she said with a wink before leaving.

"Okay," I said, turning to Dan. "So... I see you and Zoe seem to be getting along just well." 

" Yeah," he said, looking at the floor.

"And I won't ask about what you talked about because you obviously don't want to tell me," I said, trying to  make it obvious that I wanted to know. I could tell he got the hint because of the way he said "I won't" so stubbornly.

" Okay, okay, I said I wouldn't ask. But, well, what do you think of her?"

"She's pretty cool, I guess. She seems nice." 

" Yeah, she is. Anyway, Dan, I want you to know that no matter how many friends I have you'll always be my best friend." I said, handing him the pikachu hat I got from him, which was hidden in my bag.

"Aw, sweet! Where'd you get it?" He said, putting it on.

"Somewhere." I laughed, adjusting the hat on his head. "Dan, you are my pikachu."

" So that's why you were carrying that bag! Sorry that I didn't get you anything."

"It's okay. You're friendship is the only gift I need. Although I would like to get a dog."

Dan giggled. "Okay, I'll look into that."

"C'mon, let's go play jackpot with Louise and the others," I said, grabbing Dan's hand.

After five rounds, with me and Dan winning 4 out of those 5 times, we decided to call it a day. Dan and I wanted to walk while the others left in Louise's car.

We found a bench in a nearby park and decided to look at the stars. For the first few minutes, we sat in silence. Then I spoke. "Isn't the night sky beautiful?"

"Yeah," Dan agreed. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him staring at me.

"Why are you staring?"

"Oh." Dan chuckled, averting his eyes. "Just  can't believe I'm sitting right next to the guy I've always been watching through my computer screen."

"Well, believe it, because I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon." I said with a grin.

Dan scooted towards me and rested his head on my shoulder. I rested my head on his head. I could feel Dan slowly drifting away into the land of dreams, so I followed him and closed my eyes too.
