Today is the day, I can finally go home. I walk to the dresser and put on a black tank top, a light pink shoulder shirt, and a white skirt that comes down to the middle of my thighs. I walk down to my prep team and they put soft curly extentions in my hair. "Thank you." I walk down to the lobby and Brianna guides me to the train."We will start at district 8 and then 9 and so on." I will never get used to Brianna's high pitched accent. I smile for the cameras and think about going home. What will I do, I'm gonna have to do something to keep me from going crazy. I sit on the train by Blair. "What do you do?"
"Huh?"
"Like, for fun."
"Sometimes I go to the beach." Victor's Village is at the the edge of District 7 around the ocean that used to be called Pacific.
"Wow.. I've never even seen a lake before, let alone an ocean."
"Wait till you see District 4!" Blair nudges me playfully.
"What else?"
"Most of the time I'm working."
"Yeah, I'll probably get a job. How'd you win?"
"I got an 11 and teamed up with the careers. After there was two people were left other than them I killed them all in their sleep." I feel a lurch and the train starts.
"How long till we get to 8?"
"'Bout an hour."
"Cool" I sit in silence for about 25 minutes and boredom racks my brain. "Got a chunk of wood?"
"Uh... yeah actually." He hands me a block of wood and I grab a knife off the table. I start intricately carving the shape of a girl, I put on the long straight hair so it looks just like Emory. The hair falls down past the chest just like Emory's. As I remember what I shared with Emory and Daisy and can no longer stop the tears. The train lurches to a stop and I set down my incomplete Emory statue and brace myself for what is to come.
Short one :)
