I wake up in the room I was given before the Hunger Games in a pair of red silk pajamas, I sit up and tuck in my legs. I get up to get dressed and look in the mirror, my face is wet. I run back to the bed, and see my pillow is now soaking wet. I walk to the mirror and splash some water on my face. I put on some casual clothes and walk out the door. I walk too the roof and see Blair is already there. He looks up, "Hey Babygirl." I slowly walk over to him and bury my head into his chest.

"You're all I have now Blair." He strokes my hair.

"I know sweetie, I know." He gently lifts my head so I'm looking at him,"but I promise to protect you." He leans in and kisses my forehead.

"How long have I been out?"

"About a day. Come on its time for dinner." We walk down to dinner where I am greeted by Brianna whom I realize I haven't seen since before the Games. She runs up in her high heels and embraces me,"congratulations!" She squeals in my ear.

"Oh, thanks." I mutter.

"We leave for the Victor's tour tomorrow." I look to Blair for encouragment, "k." I fill my plate with fruit and push it around my plate with a fork.

"Johanna, you need to eat something." Blair sounds like my father on the morning of every reaping since I learned what the Hunger Games were. My first time really understanding the reaping was when I was 10, I understood what they were fighting for. Reluctantly I bite into a sour green apple. I take a sip of the thick hot chocolate and am relaxed. I walk up to grab some chicken noodle soup, I am greeted by President Snow who's cheek appears swollen. "Congratulations, little one."

"Thanks, umm... sorry about the uh.. incident earlier."

"Yes well, you've been through a traumatic experience recently." He seems a bit too forgiving for the cold-hearted man I'm sure he is.

"Well good evening sir." I grab the soup and walk away. I sit down at the table and begin to eat my soup. "So, how have things been going since I went in."

"Well," Bri started, "my boyfriend proposed and we're getting married July 7th!" She says the last part with a slight squeal.

"Congratulations!" My joy for her is genuine. I'm glad someone I care about can have a nice life, or any life at all. I snap a glare at Snow. If looks could kill, I'd be an assassin. Snow looks up and I quickly turn my gaze back to Blair. He smiles and I look down and realize I have devoured all my soup. "I'm not hungry." I walk to the elevator and hit the button marked 7. I walk into my room and lay on my bed. I close my eyes and see Emory's death. My eyes snap open, and I try again and again see Em's lifeless body. It is about 11:58, I shouldn't leave but I have to. I sneak over to the elevator and go to roof. I step out and am for once glad I don't see Blair. I grab a bundle of flowers and walk back over to the elevator. I hit the 11 button and walk into what I'm sure was Emory's room and place the flowers on the bed. I grab a piece of paper and a pen and write:

"District 11 female tribute,

My name is Johanna Mason, I was thrust into the Games like you, I was 12 when I was sent in. I won the Games. Now I am a mentor to the district 7 tributes. The reason I am writing you is because I was friends with the girl tribute from 11 and I want to warn you. 1: When you enter the games, you don't come out the same. 2: If Snow says anything about you about prostitution do not deny his offer.

May the odds be ever in your favor,

Johanna Mason.
