Hey guys my name is Alyssa. I hope you guys like this story. Lately I've been really into the romance ;) hope you guys enjoy!!!!

The courtroom was quiet. Everyone could hear the birds chirping outside. Mailyn knew she needed to step up her game. She was able to question one more person and then the jury would decide. She needed to question the defendant and prove that her client was innocent. Everyone was waiting for her response to the judge. She raised from her seat as she found what she was looking for. "I call Roger Tott to the stands." This was it. The only best she could do was have him admit that he did it. She was good at having the defendants confess what they did. She sat back down to discuss more with her client while Roger put his hand on the bible and said his oath. As Roger sat down, Mailyn rose up and walked towards him. "Roger, can you tell me where you were on May 15, 2013 at 10 to midnight?" No one understood why she was asking this question again. He already answered. But no one said anything to her. Right after college she got in to a very good law firm really fast and never lost a case. Everyone knew not to doubt Ms. Mailyn Jane. "I was at a party." Roger kept it short. But that's just how Mailyn likes it. She knew eventually he would get more descriptive as her questions went. When the defendant starts off guarded they most likely put it down as the questions continue. It was a perfect attack. "What was at this party?" Roger looked at his lawyer making sure he should go on. The lawyer thought they were going to win anyways so nodded Roger on to continue. "Um, alcohol, food, and um... pot." A sparkle came back in Mailyn's eye. She's got it. "Did you drink anything while you were there?" The defendants lawyer still had a smug look on his face, he obviously didn't realize yet that he was going to lose. "Yes, I had quite a few." Perfect she had him where she wanted him. "How many are we saying?" The defendant didn't even hesitate. "About ten shots and three beers." The defendant looked so proud that he consumed that much. "Do you get drunk fast?" The defendant stared at Mai so smugly. "No, I know how to hold my alcohol. I've never been drunk." She had to hurry out the questions she knew the lawyer would catch on. "when did you start drinking? Do you remember seeing that girl at the party?" Mailyn pointed across the courtroom to her client."At ten o'clock and yes I do remember." Mailyn knew this was going to be easy now. "Did you talk to Ms. Reev?"

"Yes."

"Did you guys go in a room together, alone?" The defendants lawyer realized where this was going he shot up to object, but his client answered seconds before he could. "Yes." He now showed that he was unsure to answer.

"What did you do in that room?" She's got it now. She didn't wait for him to answer, although it didn't seem he was going to answer. "Mr.Tott how is it that you said you didn't remember the night clearly with Miss Rex when you said you don't get drunk at all?" He just stuttered. "How is it that you wake up next to a crying girl and tell her she better not tell anyone. You stated early you had no idea what happened, but if you weren't drunk how could you say you don't know. What happened that night Mr.Tott? What did you do? Explain those scratches on your arm? Didn't Ms.Reev tell you to stop?" The defendants lawyer knew he lost. He tried to object during Ms.Jane's little speech. But the judge kept saying over rule. The courtroom hushed again when Ms. Jane asked the important question. The question everyone wants to know. "What happened that night?" Little beads of sweat formed on his forehead, he was nervous. Mailyn Jane was a very intimidating lady. His chill back attitude was long gone. "Tell us the truth Mr. Tott. What really happened that night?" The defendant licked his lips before he started, then he spit out everything in one breath. "I didn't know she was underage. I thought she wanted it. She was practically throwing herself on me the whole night. What would you have done?" The defendant looked at Mailyn. Even though the question was rhetorical Mailyn answered with her head up high. "I wouldn't have raped her Mr.Tott. If she wanted it, she wouldn't have fought the whole way through." Mailyn turned away from the defendant and faced the courtroom.
